Stuck right with the Ethiopians. Only American trying to challenge for the win.
He laid it down. Baller status. Last 200m was a work of art.
I don't think Rupp could have beat Hill today.
he had a couple failed attempts to pass, but the indoor track got the best of him
7:34.87 official time by the way, #3 american indoor all-time
Hill has a monster kick. I'm really excited to see what he does this season and in outdoor.
RyHill gettin jiggy widdit!
Oh yeah, NC MF State alumni representin'!
Ryan Hill's peers need to learn. First of all, that Ryan Hill is a badass, and they should try to replicate his fearless badassness whenever possible. Second, that they cannot spot him 3 yards all race and expect to beat him. When Bumbalough settled in 3 yards behind him for the bulk of the race, he essentially ceded any shot at winning. I guess everyone thinks they have the best kick though, despite evidence to the contrary. I don't think any American was beating Hill today, though, not even Rupp.
Who is this guy? Never heard of him. He ran spectacular!
lucky for rupp that hill wasn't in the mile
Ryan Hill is the future of American Distance Running. Period.
Second race under Professional training? Dude has Unreal Potential.
Rupp is still one "dope" of a runner though.
Hill and Jager, I'd say. Both have unreal talent.
Because Ryan Hill is the hero Gotham deserves, but not the one it needs right now.
Rupp is clearly the face of american distance running.
But I think Ryan Hill is on the horizon.

How long can Hill keep surprising us like this?

For as long as we continue to underestimate him.
Setting aside Rupp's injury and granting your post has some merit, I'm fairly confused. According to the standard LetsRun narrative, Rupp is on drugs of various kinds, ranging from the gray area (whatever that means) to the distinctly shady, but there's no problem imagining Hill beating him--and no one would ever think Hill or Jager et cetera is doping. Interesting.
