The real entitlement generation (born 1946-1964) will probably get thousands or millions of my dollars through social security and medicare which they chose to grossly underfund.
None. I'm feeling so entitled that I want to provide for myself, what a spoillllleed BRAT.
I'm getting whatever the heck I earned and put away in a 401k and other investments.
I sure won't be getting the pensions and social security that the non-entitlement generations feel entitled to.
snow, uphill both ways, ate bread, milk was a luxury. go jump off a bridge, you turd.
Someone should study the difference between what kids *expect* to inherit and what they actually end up getting. My guess is that people are usually overly optimistic, and that the greater the sense of entitlement, the more unrealistic people are.
My kids will inherit enough to buy a nice vacation home for family gatherings and to make their retirement more comfortable, if all goes according to plan. But assuming I live to be 90 or 100, what's more important is what I'll be able to help with before I die: like medical emergencies, down payment on first homes, and grandkids college.
I am one of 8 kids and expect to get over 200K. Thanks Dad!
probably half. the other half going to my sister. although i was born in 1985, so my answer does not apply here.
Assuming a family isn't extremely wealthy, why wouldn't parents give their children all of it? Does a random charity "deserve" it more?
nothing. My parents refused to help me with college. Why would they give me something they don't have?

Yes!
Im just hoping to be a little more mature than you by the time I'm your age
$0. I grew up in a poor family and funded my way through college and grad school and now make six figures.
$0. My parents are so poor that they will not have any way to retire unless I help them out financially, which I am working on doing. I doubt there will be anything to inherit when it comes to it.
Parent of Entitlement Generation kids. We have a pretty good nest egg to leave our kids (oldest age 19) They will get it all, but in small increments every 5 years starting age 25 (if we're not around) so hopefully they maintain some ambition and drive. Honestly, I don't think they know how much we have because we live fairly modestly and I'm certainly not going to tell them now!
None. They don't have any. We never did. That's why (and I'm thankful for it) I'm paying my way through college.
I don't get it. Are families not supposed to support each other now? We should all be totally dependent on our wage masters? nice brainwashing dude.
