He's so far ahead that when you start the video, it doesn't even look like a race. It looks like a time trial. Then, more than 20 seconds later, it's "oh, there are other people out there."
Where's the video of his post race workout...
According to the LRC he should probably do a workout equal to
5 x 1 mile at 5k pace with 400m jog recovery.
It might as well have been a time trial!
For more of a race I just found this video of a 3:45 race (1997, prior to El G taking the record) between El G, 7:20-Komen, and Niyongabo (there are a few other names in there, but the race was between those three)
If you want more of a race, there's this one, on the same track, in my mind one of the two greatest distance races ever held (the other is the 2004 1500m Oly final), with 2 of the 3 fastest 1500s ever run in this race (3:26.34 was good for SECOND place):

And I swear, one of these days Lagat's going to get him!
what amazes me historically, is that ryun on a dirt track in 95F, ran his last 1200 ( accounting for some wide running ) as fast as they ran the initial 1200 at 2'46-low !!!

95F is faster weather for short distances if one is acclimated.
the drug abuse during this era was unprecedented...
Aside from Kiprop who was the last guy to run in 3:27s?

El G, because he is the GOAT.
First time I've ever seen El G destroyed at the finish line. That run exhausted him. Solid effort.
I see the time trial comments.
A time trial is something you run in practice.
You don't get a crowd like that and that's what makes this different.
It's not a time trial. It's a not a race.
It's called a record attempt. And that means running by yourself at the end, if not for a good part of it.
So that was in 1999. At his 1500m peak fitness.
He ran his 5000m championships in 2003 and 2004.
What if he would have taken another crack at in 2002?
He was stronger then.
He ran 3:30 flat or under 7 times that year, including a couple of 3:26's.
I think he would have had a better shot at Komen's record that year. Maybe if he ran it at Rieti where he dropped one of those 3:26 races and where Komen ran his 7:20.
epomadness!
those were the days
but what is on the market now? With the 2:04s coming like a dime a dozen.

not for 1500 it isn't !
tell me any elite guy who has run a 1500pb at 95F apart from ryun

They never recorded temps for WR purposes. Just like there is no 'official' temp reading for Ryun's race. It was hot and the Pathe news reel says it was in the 80's. That's all we got. An off the cuff remark by Ryan does not make it so, just like his last lap in Dussseldorf we now know was not under 50, which contradicts what he said.
If you can offer definite proof the temp that day was 95 then do so. Otherwise, stop going on about it.

Ventolin, someone saying that it was 95 degrees doesn't mean that it was 95 degrees. People are not thermometers.

what part of
"i looked up at the temperature clock and it read 95 degrees" don't you understand?
christ
He didn't actually say it was 95F out. He said the thermometer showed 95F. Thermometers can vary widely depending on placement and if they are just plain broken.
