Single leg exercises IMO are better than squats, leg presses, and other leg workouts that require both legs.
Stuff like single-leg lunges, pistol (jump squats) depend on just 1 leg to do the work each rep. If you look at it, single-leg workouts are a lot more "running-like" since you alternate legs each time to propel yourself forward.
And for the guy who says lifting stunts growing, that's not entirely correct. Brian shaw, one of the world's strongest men, is 6'5.
If anything, weightlifting helps you grow...
