I'd essentially given up on getting reimbursed by my insurer for the surgery with Dr. UM in Germany. Well, I opened the mail Saturday and there was a cheque for $11,000 from Cigna. While it wasn't everything, they covered far more than I expected.

Hey MeLLoDraMa - good for you!!
Can i ask what they did with your nerves? Did she remove them/it or are yours intact??
Were you bi-lateral or just the one side??
thanks
She removed part of my nerve that was damaged. I have limited feeling in the area where the surgery took place. Surgery was one sided.
Just got my Core-X yesterday. Took about 1 week to get, and I'm looking forward to starting on it.
A few days ago I did a 1 hour pilates class that was all about working the abdominals, and it was challenging (not painful, though).
Seems Tyson Gay is also heading to Munich once the season is over
Interesting article in today's New York Times:

test..
I had the same thing, but it is gone now. It freaked me out a little bit when I first noticed it during ART therapy.
Hey Friends,
one more question....so now the running is getting better, and pain is minimal (rather i just feel imbalanced soreness and some tightness). BUT, it hurts when I press on my pubic bone -- as if it's still inflamed.. I am 8 weeks post surgery.
Thanks for your responses!

Hello Garett! Do you wanna update us on how you are feeling? Very good I hope! I have read your post and have been holding my thumbs.
I know that there is a bunch of us who really would appriciate to read how you are feeling know and if everything has healed as it should etc... How the travel home to America went, did you feel good after 8 days?
Many questions to you Garrett!!

Garrett how are you feeling now a few weeks after the surgeries? It would be really nice if you gave us an update on how your trip was and how everything has been healing and all!

Kent.........Im 8 weeks out from Meyers and yea My pubic area is still quite sore If I press on it hard....also still some swelling there
I had two small inguinal hernias corrected in July on the left side of my groin. I also had some pain on the right before surgery. Dr. did exploration and found nothing wrong with the right.
Anyways, two months later my surgical side is great, its my right side that keeps swelling and getting tight. Feel it in my hip flexor as well. I have been swimming and doing band excersises nothing major. Anyone else experiance something similiar.
Den and JCsportsman,
thanks for the answers, guys. JC, did you ask Meyers about the soreness (e.g. is it normal 8weeks post-surgery?)
Not sure if Garrett is back in the US yet but i have heard from him and he is doing real well.
I am sure he will be back here to update when he returns
