Could Paul Tagliabue fine him for his rant?
It would be really strange if he tried, considering how long ago he retired.

That is entertaining? He just re-enforced every negative stereotype there is and you think it's entertaining?
What about professionalism? Did Magic, or Jordan, or Jerry Rice, or Marcus Allen, or Roger Craig, or Ronnie Lott ever act like that after an emotional game.
No dignity, no class and apparently education escaped him at Stanford. He's an embarrassment that only appeals to fans of ghetto culture.
You're an embarrassment. You need to get laid and loosen up. That was hilarious. Erin Andrews looked scared as hell.
I agree with adlc.

Of course you would, all racists are pathetic whinging babies in real life.
To the people appaled and say sports stars from the past never acted this way: ever hear of a boxer named Muhammad Ali? He was never loud or boastful was he. smh
To the people who say they never heard of Richard Sherman before today: smh. I wouldn't be admitting that. He's generally considered the best DB in the NFL. Possibly the best defensive player period.
This dude Richard Sherman came out of Dominguez HS in Compton (public school) with a Stanford brain.

hahahaha. The NFL would be 1000 times better if it was just whites. 90% of the time the whitest team in the NFL wins the SuperBowl!
Remember when QB's called their own plays, well everything is being dumbed down so certain players can play.....
Look at a list of the 100 best running backs in the past 40 years. Now do the same for wide receivers. How many whites are on that list? That's what I thought. Out of the 9 general positions, whites only register high in 3 (kicker, QB, and OL ... and blacks are catching up in the last 2 positions).

I cried. You just don't understand how passionate we are about football. Many counted us out, but we won even though it wasn't pretty. And we will whip the Broncos in the Superbowl and send Peyton Manning into retirement.
Ahahhahahahaha! You cried over a fvcking football game!

Please. Guy took some adderall and you want him banned from the NFL?
I think Sherman is incredible as a player. He's also very smart and writes columns for SI and what not.
He probably does take something else anyway, like the rest of the league. Smart? Give me a break.

Probably not, since Tagliabue has not been the NFL Commissioner for over 3 years.
At first I hated the interview and thought WTF, but then after contemplating this situation a little longer you realize a few things.
Sherman is good, real good. That play reminded me of Deion back in the 90's with its raw athleticism. Speaking of which, he just made the game-saving play, in the endzone with less than a minute on the clock to help his team win the NFC championship.
I don't know how many runners played competitive team sports, but winning as part of a team has an emotional high that is better than any race I have ever won.
So this guy makes the play of the game and they interview him no less than 5 minutes later. But once again, he is amped up because his team is amped up. He had some raw emotion built up and let it out on camera. That is fun. I wish more interviews were like that. Not everyone in the NFL should be like that, but good cornerbacks definitely carry a chip on their shoulder. Always have.
Sherman probably just etched his name in the history books forever for that play and follow up interview.
"You just don't understand how passionate we are about football. Many counted us out, but we won even though it wasn't pretty."
WHO counted you guys out? I understand that everyone likes to take the underdog position and use it to the fullest, but seriously, no one in their right mind was going, "Oh yeah, these guys don;'t stand a chance..."
Anybody who was even questioning whether this team would make it to the Super Bowl was just filling up air time on talk radio.
And just how passionate are you all about football? I thought you felt that way about hoops, too, but now you just get to watch Durant and wish on what might have been.
Bandwagoners.

People love to see big vicious hits. Yet when a player has the play of the season and rants, saying he is the best, Oh my my, what a terrible thing. He didn't say anything wrong.
Im sure Sherman is as bright as many of you on this board, definitely a better athlete, certainly wealthier.
Time to put your NFL bed sheets, PJs and lamp shade in the trash now. Don't let me catch you celebrating after a 17:10 5k PR at the local Turkey Trot

So, Mr. Big Boy Pants, athleticism, education and wealth give a guy a pass to act like a Grade A jackass?
And if I ran 13:10 at a local Turkey Trot and went off like that, it would instantly erase how great my 13:10 was, much less a 17:10.
Don't slander the name of S. Douglas in your weak attempts at humor.
Who was Sherman's Head Coach and role model at Stanford???
Oh, it was the 49ers coach !
