Let's hear some stories about extended breaks from running and return to competition. It doesn't matter the reason you took a break -- injury, work, travel, burnout, childbirth, etc. -- but I'd love to hear who you took time off, what you did during the break, how you got back into a running routine, and then how you set PRs.
I'm looking at 12+ weeks off (and several additional weeks prior to this of very light mileage) due to discomfort in late pregnancy/postpartum recovery. I'll be sure to dig up this thread once I've made my successful comeback.
