Is Nike stating to clean house. today Symmonds posts he is now longer sponsored. Geena Gall also tweeted she was a free agent looking for a shoe sponsor.

They may or may not be (always a possabilitiy). Brands like nike do this at the end of the year
Alan Webb's contract ended yesterday too. I hope that they re-sign him. He's got a lot of good running left in those legs.

You are delusional
I wish that more companies would clean house and make room for young blood.
Brooks and Hansons have been guilty of this for way too long. If you haven't run a PB in over 2 years and are not top 5 in the US, please get out. It is now 2014, 2011 is irrelevant.
Geena Gall should be cut. Nick Symmonds is still relevant and is worth signing.

He's more than relevant, he's just had his most successful season and is a World Silver medallist. This is literally the worst time in his career to drop him so it seems insane that they choose now to do so.

What's his future worth though? Let's face it, that 800m field would've been a lot different if the top guys were healthy. I think the silver medal was his peak and Nike knows that.
It seems more likely that Symmonds dropped Nike in a belief that he can do better with one or more new sponsors.

If that is the case it will be interesting to see what he does.
However judging by all his comments about his plans for 2014 with his coach and OTC...it would not follow that Symmonds chose to leave Nike on his own. It makes no sense after flaunting his goals for this year and often touting and mentioning his coach at OTC.
Nike dropped Jackie Areson as well.
Nike is cutting people who badmouthed their beloved Oregon Project in 2013.

He can still be coached by rowland and not on OTC. As I'm fairly certain Fleshman is still coached by him. So, I don't think him stating those goals indicated this wasn't somehow part of his doing.

Geena Gall accused Moser of doping on twitter.
Areson left the OP when Magness found out about drugs.
Symmonds has been outspoken about certain groups on twitter if you have been paying attention.

I hate to say it, but I think MironXC is on to something. I won't buy another Nike Running Product until they get their sh*t straightened up
Michigan a callin.

Nike has gotten their sh*t straightened up. You just don't like the scent. But welcome to the NO Nike club. I think Nick has been planning a move for about a year.
And let's not forget that Geena Gall (was forced to) removed that tweet. Quickly.
