I once went on a job interview unrelated to sports, it was at a diner...all i had to do was drive my bus, with a bag of money, and drop it off at a stop along the way and shut my mouth.

why is washington looking for a distance coach when they have Metcalf?
The new coach will probably be an apprentice to Metcalf and probably won't do a whole lot of coaching but a whole lot of recruiting. They have Denfield there also so who knows.

The jealousy on this thread is sickening. If you don't know who he is then how do you know he can't coach? Air Force hired who they thought was best, no one feels sorry for you because you didn't even get an interview.
His bio lists him with one year of coaching experience. This is a really young guy to take over a strong Mountain West program. If they were going for the inside hire why bring it up at nationals? I don't have any info, but would be really surprised if it were true. Sources?
the head coach is a sprints guy and isn't concerned about distance
The beg let move makes sense. With uconn looking for a new women's head coach she may have been out a job anyway.

She was on/still is on the hiring/search committee for the new women's head coach at UCONN. I seriously doubt that she left UCONN. Plus the only stipulation was that she to be retained.
Rumors around here have said Uconn already found their head coach in John Hetzendorf from Wichita State.
