Albany State is open as well. You know, if you're in to that sort of thing...
I'm guessing it is a whole lot warmer in Columbus than River Falls. That could be part of it. He's an OAC grad, so that has to go a long way.
2 Distance Coaches (three if you count Busch's wife)
1 Throws
1 Jumps/Hurdles
Interesting group.
Washington State will hire a head coach sometime in the month of April. They just concluded interviews and will make an offer to their first choice soon. Some people say that James Li has been offered the job. I do not know if that is true or not. Once WSU makes their choice, you will see the musical chairs of coaching take place.
Pretty sure Otterbein hasn't hired anyone yet. Stop with the rumors
Inside is correct.
But they do have four finalists.
Two mainly coach distance athletes (one a single gender)
One mainly coaches throwers
One mainly coaches jumps/hurdle.
How are these rumors?
I'd think Coach B. would be a great candidate for Anderson.
Bunch of GA spots popping up. Heard through the grapevine John Crain is going to Oklahoma, not unlike Spain working at ISU. Cool to see top D3 guys get some big time college experience.
And, yes Nick B,. Busch at Anderson would change things. With his ability to recruit in Indiana, he could change things. He seems to be in the running for a lot of jobs though.
He can recruit men, clearly, but can he be as successful with women?
Coach Doug Welsh knew nothing about track and field or coaching women when he became the Otterbein as he was a asst football and head baseball coach until he became the Otterbein TF coach. No track experience and no coaching women experience. But, I guess when anyone can get into a school and the school is willing to change financial aid packages multiple times, and your wife bakes great cookies for the recruits to go home with, you can coach anyone.
Now that Morgan is gone at UCONN maybe they can get their distance program up and going without interference and chest pounding.
He may not coach girls at Wabash, but I know he has coached girls at the HS level and coached other events at the HS level too. If he can recruit at an all-male school, he can definitely recruit at Otterbein. He is clearly the best coach in the pool. I hope they make the right hire.
wtf is an Otterbein? What is happening at the real schools?
What "real" schools are you talking about?
None in particular. I just have rarely seen so much talk about an Otterbein.
Eastern New Mexico is opening up. Head coach resigning to do a through hike.
Coker College looking for assistants.
Catawba College looking for a cross country only position. No track.
Any news on the SLIAC schools?

Sources about Eastern New Mexico and Coker? Have you seen the Coker positions advertised? I would guess the Eastern NM would not be posted until after the season is over....

I have some exciting news!
First of all, I resigned effective May 28th my position as Head Coach, Cross Country / Track & Field at ENMU. I have done so in order to complete a dream of mine which is to Thru-Hike the Pacific Crest Trail next spring/summer. The trail spans a distance of 2,650 miles from Mexico to Canada through the Sierra Nevada and Cascade Mountain Ranges of California, Oregon and Washington . I have signed on to work at Yellowstone National Park for this summer season and after that I'll be working as temporary Amazon "CamperForce" employee in Fernley, NV until Christmas time. Both jobs will allow me to live in my camper, be in or near beautiful environments to train for my PCT thru-hike and will allow me to free up 6 months April - September 2015.
I feel privileged to have my health and the opportunity to make this dream happen.
Saw this on facebook. That's my source.

No idea when it will be open.
Shoot, missed that last part about Coker. Talked to the head coach on the phone the other day. Give him a call his office number is on the web site!
Does anyone know when Otterbein will make their announcement?
