Whats up with Portland State? Haven't seen any press releases for their coach....Anyone know?
Portland State is filled.
thats all you need to know.
So nobody has any information on the Yale job?
OSU skirts by on the rules for a one-sex program by claiming an extra position for its "mens" program with the football guys who are participating. Their compliance officer sold NCAA a bill of goods 5 years ago to get guys on football team eligible to compete with the idea that "soon" a full team would be added. Well a full team is at least a decade off from that date and they didn't have but one guy on the team the past 2 years outdoors and only a few sprinters for 2 meets this past winter and none year before.
So they actually get 4 paid staff and then all the volunteers you speak of. Really not legal if you ask me. They had 4 at the Oregon state meet recruiting this spring and they were not recruiting boys.
Speaking of that who has OSU hired for throws job?
Look for Iowa to name the throws coach from Harvard as their new coach. If this happens, any thoughts on whom Harvard would look at?

This sounds like complete speculation on your part
not speculation
dubbs to iowa
Good for Dubbs. Nice to see hardworking people moving up the food chain. Harvard could be a fairly attractive job opportunity to the right throws coach.

Actually he was named the associate head coach.
Is there any jobs that have been filled this year where everyone said " great hire"? This board is filled with negative jealousy.

How do I get into coaching track and cross country if I only have high school experience? I also have hobby jogger experience.

Why the interim tag? Stevie will get the head job and they will bring in a head xc coach to cover the distance side. Rocks for Stevie he has done a great job there.
So will Andrew Carlson get the Distance/CC job? Looks like he has at least a year of coaching experience, or do you think they will bring in an outsider? Carlson is from the Dakotas, anyone have any inside info? Is Carlson in charge of the distance runners right now?
