My guess is that he was kidding. Nick Willia isn't going to Purdue.

I'd really like to see to see Jeff in the role of a coach. He has done well as a DO.

Haven't seen it posted here, and I know it's a small job compared to some that have been discussed on here but Fairfield in CT announced their head coach hire today:

Who are the candidates for the USC jumps position?
Saw him at UM yesterday and he talked about leaving for West Lafayette for a meeting, thought maybe Adidas has an office there. Also interesting to note, Denard Robinson was last seen counting mad stacks in Gibby's office. Could be an official announcement in the next week.
Heard there was an opening for the Purdue job. If I can inspire a bunch of kids from Richmond to go all the way to state in basketball, I'm confident in my abilities to lead this team to nationals. Please contact Coach Greene and tell him Coach Carter is the man for the job.

OSU has hired a throwing coach and a sprint/hurdle coach Joel Brown.
Based on my interactions with Joel, he will do an excellent job. I know him as organized, knowledgeable, and a motivator. Good luck to him.
Seems like still a lot of schools are cutting things close with coaching spots as XC is almost tomorrow. Michigan, Penn State, Purdue, Air Force... people want to know who they are running for.
Where is this info on 2 new Ohio State hires?
Relax, getting football started for the season is a little more important to athletic departments right now.
Hiring XC coaches is very low priority.

I have no idea who Coach Smith-Gilbert is looking to hire. Barry Shumpert is a very well respected coach who did not like the interference from the head coach into his jumps program at USC. But even I am surprised that Shumpert would bolt after one year. Its coach Smith-Gilbert's program, and if she wants every discipline of their entire track program to mirror the way she coaches sprinters, then that is her choice. But the coaches don't have to like it either.
Providence hire:
Ray Tracy is director of ops? What?

Where did Fox go?
I think the more important question is "what does the fox say".
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jofNR_WkoCEWhat is the deal with the Southern Miss job?
Is it a distance position? Just looking for any info on it?
Thanks!
Head coach got canned...Distance coach left...sprints Olympian left. So. Miss is where coaches go to die or retire. Stay away.
Heard that Mark MacDonald is top candidate for Oregon State opening. Makes sense, going from one mediocre program in Pac12 to another. Some things never change.
A classic Lets Run post of lack of information. OSU doesn't have a full-fledged men's team right now. They have a women's distance program. The entire program was axed in the 80's and coach Kelly Sullivan is trying to bring it back, getting alums involved, building facilities -- they have a new track that will play host to the Pac-12 meet I believe next spring.
So far the only men's performers were relay teams slapped together with men's football players and a football player who was a 7-foot high jumper a couple years ago.
There's this thing called the internet, you can get a lot of information from it before popping off.
To wondering in the west it is you that are clueless. Oregon State doesn't have a men's team yet but is a full event women's team now. Only scorers in Pac 12 meet the last 2 years were in the jumps I believe. So yes my info is good, MacDonald is leading candidate to coach some non-distance areas.
