Calling it right now. Baxter is our next Kastor, 8-10 years down the road.

I agree. She has what it takes - an almost stoic, relentless determination that only comes along once every 20 years. Joanie had it too.
Kastor 1500m PR = 4:07
/EOT
I agree. I think she should go to the marathon after college. Its weird watching her win races in HS because just watching her run its so obvious that she's a true marathon talent. When a marathoner does 1600-5k races you can tell.

I dunno, people though Ryan Hall was a more of a miler type.
She really does have all the ingredients necessary for a long pro career. Low key approach in high school in terms of training/racing. Level headed team player, yet still ultra competitive. Not injury prone...
She can realistically aspire to be the next Desi Davila. Anything more is a big reach.
Long...long...long way to go. Much too early to predict. One day at a time. Let's get to Oregon first.
Baxter is better than Kastor; there is no comparison.
2:20 won't even matter after Jordan Hasay puts down a 2:16 in 2018.
who? Never heard of her.

I think Jordan has already bettered 2:16 in the half.
Sarah Baxter is one awkward individual. Has anyone seen any of those flotrack interviews recently? And she's officially starting her slump too. Not sure she'll do that much in college - not enough speed to kick in the big championship style races. I could be wrong, but I don't think there's going to be much down the road for her.

Oh, come off it. You guys are weird. She is radiantly beautiful, with an elegant stride like Ryan Hall's, and when her face is not frozen (after one of the supreme cross country efforts in high school history), her smile is efflorescent and her humor piquant.
She will be a winner at 10K, beating the girls who won NXN and many others.

she's not awkward , if
they ask a dumb question she doesn't play along
she's not trying to win your love like some american idol contestant or miss american
plus she's a kid
this fall in an interview she muttered something about going trick or treating [seriously]
we are too used to seeing people who will do anything to be on tv
i like it when she say's " I don't understand what you just asked me."
get used to it. wrote:

Little Jordan Hasay was the girl who mesmerized all of America with her Olympic trials final in the 1,500 while in High school.
She then went on to have a stellar career at Oregon. Her training is progressing to levels unseen by any woman in the history of distance running in the world. You'll be hearing of her very soon if you haven't already.
No doubt this Baxter girl will then break all of Hasay's records but that will take a few more years.
You all sound like morons.
You can't just predict the future american marathon prodigy. It doesn't work like that.

No, because she just got 3rd in one of the most competitive races ever in HS, losing by only 7 seconds. And if the rumors of her averaging 45 miles a week are true, there is a LOT more in her tank.
What a ridiculous, ignorant statement.

Ryan Hall routinely did 10 mile tempos at 5:00 pace in HS

Lol.
