So sad. I truly hope he's okay.

Haron Lagat says that he is alright, in stable condition with some neck soreness. Doesn't sound life threatening, but crazy how easily it could have been

No, but this rock was much friendlier than those in Oregon.
Didn't Wanjiru's problems start with a car wreck? Hopefully Asbel is doing alright.
Definitely a bit of irony in that when it comes to this car crash involving a world class distance runner and a rock, the rock appears to have saved his life

Not me! It was Waldemar Cierpinski, and I have proof from old East German documents that only I know about.

I thought it was Noah Ngeny who was involved in a bad car accident. Hopefully those involved make a full recovery.

Me too. I hope Asbel is fine and makes a full recovery
The Ramzi/Goumri crash was just about a year ago too.
Think I'd consider a chauffeur if I were a famous runner in Africa at this point.
According to multiple reports on twitter. Lets hope that he is alright
LetsRun.com Note: The crash was minor as the front bumper was 'slightly damaged' and Kiprop was discharged with the hospital with just bruises:
