Read somewhere that if Cain didn't go pro she would have went to Oregon imagine her and Baxter on the same team wow. Once Oregon gets Woodward back Oregon will have a very solid 1-2 punch from Cross next year. GO DUCKS

"But it was a random decision on a random night because it just felt good."
....ok

Darn. Would have loved to see her at Colorado. It will be interesting to see what she does in terms of indoor track/racing schedule. I pray the Oregon coaching staff won't just milk her for all she's worth like they did to Hasay. Nevertheless, Hasay stayed injury free so hopefully Baxter can too. She is the type of XC runner that can contend for the championship as a freshman.
GO SARAH BAXTER!!
+1 on all of the above.
Jordan Hasay just followed her on twitter. She definitely had influence.

Sarah, it doesn't get any better than a greeting from pac12fan.
Agree!

This right here

Wetmore has achieved a lot and done a great job with his athletes, and for the sport -- and the sport owes him a lot of gratitude and appreciation.
Baxter is ruined. The academic load at UO is too much for the average student!
Sarah Baxter should have chosen UCLA. She would have been a perfect fit to the Bruin cross country team. She is making a huge mistake by going to the black hole up in Eugene, Oregon. I can see the headlines now: "Baxter under performs for the Ducks."

Dude, if Sarah Baxter chose to stayed in Los Angeles, UCLA would have been her 3rd choice. You talk about black hole! Oregon may have their runners that under perform every so often, but UCLA is a 100% graveyard for female high school distance runners.

Your prayers are already answered.
Hasay's health was monitored every step of the way to prevent injury or burnout.
The Powell's coach with a philosophy to prevent injury and burnout, keep the kids healthy above all.
Oregon also has the support for the kids to monitor their health:

LMFAO, the headline and following article would have to be contributed by "coach d".
UCLA is very difficult. ARWU 2013 ranks UCLA in the Top 10 in America. If a kid chooses a small, isolated college town such as Eugene or Corvallis, that's fine too. It's personality. Good luck to SB.
Don't feed the troll.

Why not? Whos pac12fan?
He's a poster who seems to have a lot of inside information on the Oregon program. Actually, pac12fan is a breath of fresh air after posters like eharmony and coach d.
Wetmore is a cool dude, but also a little strange--in a good way. Have known him off and on since '67.

But academic's don't seem to be a priority for runner's on Oregons track team's.

Evidently the academics you experienced did not teach you to do anything other than toss around a tired and incorrect cliche on these boards...
Not sure what you are talking about, but Oregon had a huge number of Academic All-Conference and All-Americans last season.
