Good post except for the fact that Elkaim is not going to be in the picture. Either the other freshman or Winn are ahead of Elkaim at this point.

I agree actually that Elkaim won't be in the picture now. I have re done my individual projections, this time more thoroughly. I have a blog that has team power rankings and i'll add my individual projections and add a link to it.
JENKINS IS NOT RUNNING...GIVE IT UP
and no way Fleet breaks the top 40

Erassa is a top ten runner this year. He will surprise and shock all of you East African haters. OSU will place three guys in the top ten with Shane and possibly Joseph in the top 30 - Not even close
I have played several scenarios over and over again where CU wins, and where Ok State wins. Here are these scenarios:
1) Ok State wins: They have 3 guys in the top 10, everyone is firing on all cylinders and CU can't match that up front. Craig Nowack finishes in the top 40 and Moskowitz is right there with him. Manilifasha is running like S*** and will not help them in 8 days.
2) CU wins putting 3 guys in the top 25 which is extremely possible and then they have their 4 and 5 finishing right in the top 35. Let's face it, the NCAA is weaker this year, and those guys could pull that off no problem, especially seeing what happened at their conference meet.
*Ok State has been known to have guys run like crap when it matters. Erassa finished 100th place this year, and I wouldn't be surprised if he blows up this year.
*Tom Farrell failed to qualify for nationals in track last season. He could also choke and finish way back from top 10.
If this is the case, CU will dominate on the big stage.
*What is Jake Hursyz doing? Will he be there?
Also, CU's 4 and 5 are by far more reliable than Ok State's 4 and 5. I am really looking forward to this showdown.
Ok State is worse than they were last year, and CU is better than they were last year.

HA HA, Yes, winning 3 out of the last 4 natl. championships is running like crap. Erassa is also a beast this year and will spread Ethiopian magic all over Terre Haute.
GO POKES
All we can do is wait and see whether Jenkins runs. Edward will likely finish top ten, Stinson top 25, Fleet top 30. Leingang and Winn will finish where they finish. Go Ducks
This is clearly not a marketing plant from Nike.
Why not? Because all the stupid Oregon fanboi nonsense is super annoying. I'm an Oregon resident and I like the runners and the team, but the 1,000,000 posts that say "These aren't the real results because Oregon didn't field their fastest-est team!!!!1!" make me want to stab myself in the eye with a spork. It's so disrespectful to the runners who actually do train and compete that I begin to doubt that the "Oregon has a secret team that's faster than your team!" posters aren't Oregon fans at all, but trolls trying to be the most annoying Duck fans ever. (It's working.)
Oregon is a solid team w/ great tradition. They usually do well. But one thing they NEVER do is exceed expectations. They are always ranked higher than performance suggests because people love the program and expect good things. That's the price of going to a school with tradition, you never can be the underdog, you never can surprise anyone in a good way. You either do what you were expected to do, or you lose.
Based on performances this year, there is no reason to rank Oregon over schools like Colorado, OK State, or Northern Arizona. They are close, but they don't have performances to rank them in the top 3.
Oregon got 3 guys that could finish in the top 10-12 if Jenkins is running a good race from Leingang and the frechman and Oregon is in business. Someone told me Jenkins is the fastest Cross Runner at Oregon and Cheserek will likely get top 5.

Someone lied to you.
Some of you have good points, but you aren't including enough runners from other teams in the equation. My lists and projections are very thorough IMHO

just put some new projections up yesterday.
Yeah, some of their ballpark guesses might be accurate for adjusted score but definitely not raw score.
My adjusted scores help out Colorado a lot, but it also puts Oklahoma State in a complete different ballpark.
Any chance that Kennedy Kuthuka (spel?) out of Texas T could give a run for individual Title?
Looks like Jenkins is running i wonder if he is really the best Oregon runner or if Cheserek is better i guess we will find out tomorrow. GO DUCKS

There are around 12 people mentioned. I'll believe it when I see it. Probably bringing him a long just to mess with everyone else.
With that said I hope he runs and we see some fireworks. I'm all for making things interesting.
Dudes again I ask....KENNEDY KITHUKA!!!!!Texas Tech! This dude is scary! Watched video of his last victory 22:15 8K. He takes out the first mile blazing...then drops the hammer constantly...constantly thru out the whole freakin race. Any thoughts on individual title?
Just figured out he was last year's Div 1 champion like in 28:30. I didn't know who he was. Anyway just heard he is gonna try to go sub 28:00 at the big dance. Break 28:00 over cross country ground 10K....what is this world coming to.
