I have not. But I imagine it would be a funny/interesting experience.

I did once at a coffee shop. Just kept on walking. If it had been a female I might have used it as an approach line, but then how many females are on here.
BTW, the person was on the homepage, not the board. Very different to me.
Never. Have thought about this many times though. Makes me think you're all made up.
No, come on guys, there are 15-20 regular personalities on these boards and the rest are LRC bots.

I haven't, but seeing as I live in Seattle where many if not most of LetsRun members live, so I fully expect to in the near future.

This site isn't advanced enough to have bots. 95% of posts are by rojo under different pseudonyms

See I probably would have gone up to the person regardless of whether of their sex. I am super awkward and am nervous about approaching and interacting with people, but when it comes to running stuff, I am totally comfortable.
was in an Athens internet cafe in 2004 during the Olympics and saw a guy checking Letsrun. Turned out to be an Olympian from Guam.
No. I wouldn't be caught dead on LetsRun in public.
How do we feel about flotrack? Because I've definitely seen people on that
I leave the message board displayed on my screen whenever I can. Say what you will about the dated layout, you gotta admit it's one website you could readily recognize from any distance.

I've been on here about 8 years and have never used a consistent handle. I'm sure there are dozens out there just like me.
Not sure about the bots, but you guys are correct. There are somewhere between 15 and 30 posters, each with two dozen different handles. This explains why so many Letsrunners have the exact same dry sense of humor that this board is so famous for.
Only at running events do I see people on LetsRun.
My boyfriend and I also like to tease each other when one of us is on LetsRun even though it's how we met.
"You're reading LetsRun? That place is full of shady characters."
This argument that there are very few LRC posters comes up again and again. Don't you fools think the Brojos have to demonstrate a certain number of unique IP addresses to make their advertisers want in?
in college, at the school library, but it was my teammate.
at a running camp in about '04, there was a well known head college coach using the one computer we had access to, and he was bashing another school (he was D-1, and bashing NAIA). we saw him typing with his back turned to us. we quickly walked out, waited for him to be done, then walked right in and looked at internet history--all lame message board responses. we laughed and trolled him a bit.
similar stories at national championships from about '01-'04 using the hotel computers.
I saw AJ Acosta using Letsrun. He was showing Cybulski how more people thought he would win the NIke Outdoor Nationals 2 mile than Cybulski
I once saw someone on letsrun on a train, completely randomly. Didn't know the person or anything. Never said anything. Also found out a couple family members who I don't often see are avid letsrun readers. Made for some great party conversation, surprisingly.
