Nice to see John Trautmann's name in the Masters mix.

Ick, does this mean what I think it means? Heard the same thing about her Beach to Beacon race...
I just saw a photo on Twitter...her legs looked kinda brownish. But in her case you never know whether it's just part of her new race outfit.
Robby Andrews 14:49
German Fernandez 14:55
No disrespect to Willis, love the guy and all but he's peaked right about now. Not too impressive.

I heard she pooped herself

that's a ridiculous description of the course. it's VERY fast.
What part was ridiculous? I think it was quite accurate. +20s on a 15-minute 5k sounds right.

Looks like it in the pics.
GOOD ON HER if so.
Divas like Rupp and Solinsky would DNS/DNF and duck into a tent to get wiped down by their handlers, rather than "gutting it out" like that.
Is Amanda Winslow engaged? Cool to see her continuing her running career.

the wrongful speculation that the course isn't fast and that it is 20 seconds slow. willis is not in 13:29 shape on a flatter 5k road course. his PR on the track is 13:27 and that was 8 years ago. most pros in the race aren't in racing shape and are in off-season downtime (which explains why so many didn't run fast).
the hills the prior poster described are 5 foot hills and the biggest hill is the one in front of finish line, which isn't exactly big. more like a speed bump.
Trautmann...15:40. A couple years ago that guy was over 200 pounds...good to see him back at it... Guessing they figured out how to fix his toe?

Isn't Huddle a Catholic, surprised she isn't with AlSal group.
Really? You're surprised? You thought for sure since she is Catholic and Salazar is Catholic, she would be with his group? Nice job trying to subtly show everyone that you know that Salazar is Catholic.
I saw someone's garmin - it said the course had 80 feet of climb. Not huge, but enough to take a bite.

Someone mentioned or I read somewhere that he had a couple of screws in the toe but he is not pain free (yet?).

that sounds about right. there are a few very minor hills but 80 feet of total climbing hardly is a hard course. 80 feet of climbing also isn't worth 20 seconds. huddle isn't in 15:07 road shape right now either. her fastest time ON THE TRACK this year was 14:58 back in august. it sounds like the prior poster is just delusional and wants to convince himself that he ran faster than he did.

I just want to point out some evidence that the dash to the finish 5k course is indeed not a fast course - Huddle and Flanagan SPLIT 15:43 today and then ran another 7k. At the Dash to the finish 5k Huddle could only manage a 15:27 for 5k, and flanagan couldn't even hang with that.
So that tells me that 80+ feet of climbing at the dash to the finish makes it around 20 seconds slower than a flat 5k.
deal?
