Why no black screen home page for German???
HE'S BACK!!!!!!!!11!!!1!!
But on a serious note, I am pumped to see him back in some results. Hoping to see some excellent mile/3000/5000 results out of him this winter.
Trail, Mountain, Ultra Runners Rule!! Down goes Fernandez to Mario Mendoza, the original quad-zilla!
How come when German runs a XC 8K at 5 minute pace he's back, but when Webb runs a XC 8K at 5 minute pace he is done?

Because Webb is 30 while Fernandez is 22
Another interesting result is in the women's race as the 4th runner. I sure hope both of these are workouts towards later season results. In regards to German I can't recall a year within the last 5 he has finished a single full season? Maybe a peak at Club Nats is just what this guy needs to take some of the pressure off and just get some healthy miles in his legs?
I see Texas Runner Girl ran. I'm guessing she was happy with her finish. Maybe she will chime in and let us know.
German is running out of Concord MA??

What do you mean? I still think Webb can make a comeback.

All of Shumacher (sp?) group gets listed as from Concord. That's where their agent is based out of. Trust me, they don't train here. I would know.
WEBB IS BACK, BABY!!!!

WTF!!!!! He actually Ran!!!!!!!! That's what he does best!!!! I was beginning to wonder if he would ever show his face again - so he's run twice - three times this year? Great Result!!!!!
The race is part of a local Portland XC series aimed at post collegiate runners. Texas runner girl seemed pleased with her race as was women's winner Kristen Rhode. I think it was nice that Kara and German ran as part of thier attempts to get back in racing shape.
Uh their

They're both coming back from injury as far as I know. They live and train in Portland and know they aren't in the best shape, so why not run a low-key cross country race? There is a big turnout of fast runners in this cross country series, not world-class, but the best competition they can get without having to travel somewhere to run poorly (for them).
Anyway, I'm glad they came out. It's not every day I get to be in the same race as Kara Goucher.
He lost to a bunch of chumps and you write that he's back?? I think this is a troll making fun of GF.
You are messed up for that

XC is exactly what Goucher should be doing to work her way back toward a marathon.
Who?
When is the last time he did anything. He shot his bolt as a junior. He's finished and living off his name. Webb has done that for the past 5 years so it's easy money
