I agree that Rojo may have set the bar low, but it's his money and he can propose whatever terms he desires.
That said, here is my offer:
I will toss $1,500 into the pot provided Kip runs a marathon on or before June 30, 2014 and (1) notifies this board at least 6 weeks in advance of the marathon he elects to run, (2) the course distance is USATF certified, (3) he agrees to be videotaped, followed, etc, during the race to verify he runs the entire distance, (4) "gun" time is used for the official time, and (5) he runs faster than 2:56:12 (his West Wyoming Marathon time).
Money will be paid to him in cash, or I will make a donation to a charity of his choice in his name. Whatever he prefers.
I'm being serious.
And before anyone criticizes the conditions as being too difficult, I believe that the majority of them are the same as Rojo's proposal, other than the cut-off date and the time requirement.
