At least compared to Nelson and Bairu, who essentially had their careers ruined after their marathon attempts.
Does Teg stick with it? Does Jerry have anyone else moving up on the men's side to train with him?

Jerry's Kids, they're special.
Teg is too big to be a great marathoner. Nobody weighing 160 lbs is going to compete with an East African weighing 120-130 lbs. Schumacher is not a good marathon coach. His athletes are never prepared for the final 10k.

As opposed to which American coaches?
could Teg ever get down to 130lbs?
Do Bairu and Nelson compete anymore or have they retired?
