Time to introduce a Clydesdale category WITH PRICE MONEY. Sick of watching these midgets run ... that's like watching featherweight boxing.
Criteria to enter: must be over 200 lbs.

Toshinari Takaoka. 2:06:16 and 186cm.
Rod Dixon 186cm 2:08:59
come on, Letsrun! You're better than this. In the 'thon, weight is more important than height. The problem here is that neither is easy reliable stats on (though you can tell a little just by looking at the athletes).
i think you should bring down your "tall" standard to 180 cm (5'10.86"), not 6 ft. 5'11" is still tall for a marathoner. heck, 5'10" is tall for a marathoner if you're looking at sub 2:10 guys
meant to say that neither (height or weight) are easy to FIND reliable stats on
Derek Clayton
6-2
2:08:34
2:08, 1.9 meters tall
there was some tall white canadian guy in the 80s - he towered over marathon packs. Probbaly a 2:09 guy. can't remember his name.

Lol, you're probably from Italy or so. In northern Europe (Germany, Netherlands, Denmark) you are in the lower 10% when you're 180cm as a man.
Robert Kipkoech Cheruiyot - 6'2'' (1.88) - 2:07:35
I doubt 209 as the Canadian record is over 210? If you mean low 210's possible Jerome drayton
Jason MF Hartmann
6'3" (191cm)
2:11:06

Probably thinking about Peter Maher, who is listed as 6 foot 5 (1.95 m). His PR is only 2:11:46 though.
http://www.sports-reference.com/olympics/athletes/ma/peter-maher-1.htmlJack Bacheler is listed as 6 foot 7 (2.00 m). He finished 9th in the 1972 Olympic marathon. His PR is 2:15:40.

Peter Maher, 2:11 PR
yeah, you're right - he wasn't as fast as I had remembered
he looked like andre the giant in packs:

Dylan Wykes, 2:10:47, 185cm.
Jack Bacheler ever rip off a marathon better than 2:17? He was 200cm.

2:10 - really? a 40 year old record???
I bet a certain bald afroed young guy in Portland thinks about that number a lot
Elly Rono, 2:10-and-change PR, about 6-4
If you're willing to go to 2:13 guys...
Joe LeMay: 6-4 or so
Jeff Jacobs: Looked about 6-3 and thicker than your usual long-distance guy, in a marathon pack he looked like a pass-rushing linebacker.

Which is it? Bald or afro? Can't be both can it?
Andrew Carlson. 6'3" ish. Ran 2:11 at trials.
