Improved heart health and blood flow so, probably it would.
54 years and counting.
Yes (running), and yes (general fitness).
Ummmm, that was a trick question; and I fell for it, hook, line, and sinker.
I'm in my late 50's and I'm not only as horny as ever, but have extremely healthy "blood flow" into my Taipei 101.

Taipei 101, that's impressive. But when you elevate your game as well as I have, you'll boast that you have a banana republic. True to typical LetsRun.com posting, I'll add that I also run sub-14:00 for 5k and have an IQ of 165.

Yes, it does, basically any physical activity.
I know I sound like a broken record when I say physical fitness is important to the overall well-being of a person, but if you're morbidly obese, you're going to have sexual problems.
I think ED is most commonly a psychological thing. I have experienced it in relationships from time to time. Women get it too, but they don't call it a "dysfunction". They just call it not really feeling like having sex, which is basically what it is. And you can still have sex with a woman who isn't that into it. But with a dude it doesn't work like that, obviously. As men we feel that we should always want to have sex so we think something is wrong when our bodies just don't cooperate.
With that said, I rarely have a problem getting hard when I'm by myself. I do it at least every day and I'm in my 40s. I might skip a day every once in a while, or even two if I'm not feelin' it. And when I don't feel like it, it's never a problem or a "dysfunction". But I have experienced weeks of not being able to get hard with a woman. It sucks, but it's never lasted much longer than that. It really can make you feel terrible. And the funny thing is, as soon as the pressure is off I'd have no problem doing it myself.
Running does help in general but if you're running a lot of miles and verging on overtraining you will experience a decline in desire.
I've noticed it takes a lot longer for blood to run to my hands after I started running.
You are so far off point. ED is nothing like you described. ED is wanting to have sex, but due to poor blood flow you can not achieve an erection, (or if you do its not a full erection and it doesnt last long.)
ED is nothing about desire or libido. Its one of the dumb thoughts about viagra, like you take a pill and suddenly turn into a rapacious wild man. Not the case at all.

Psychology is one major contributor. Stress, anger, exhaustion, illness, etc can all cause trouble.
Physical fitness is another major contributor along with diet. You can keep yourself thin with exercise, but if you eat too much junk , which will effect your heart, your arteries, and your blood, you will have troubles as well.
I studied in Venice for one year in college. I rented a room from a lovely older Italian couple while I was there. He was in his early 70s and she in her late 60s. They were both very fit and still very sexually active.
It was one of the most eye opening trips of my life in terms of just how bad the American lifestyle is for us.
All the bumps I feel in the road of life as a runner of 56 years are very good, and indeed frequent. Technique is actually improving. Details not to follow.
Comparing notes with my contemporaries who are non-runners, they just don't seem to be gettin' too much, but it may be the state of their relationships.
Hey, maybe the American lifestyle of work, work, stress, work, stress and more work does not help, could be.
I live abroad, take naps, work a 30 hour week, eat fantastic fresh food, and have noted an improved libido in the 6 years I've been an ex-pat.
You're not training hard enough if you are still having sex.
Train to exhaustion. ;-)
Short Answer - YES - For too many reasons to list here. I am surprised you asked this question in this forum. Letsrun.com is not exactly a hotbed of sexual activity.
In my 60s, still do run (slowly) a few days each week...won my age group at a local 5k in the last year...have high cholesterol (hereditary) so taking a statin which has led to ED. Now taking the occasional blue diamond to counteract the effects of the statin. Still getting it on with the bride thanks to modern pharma. Don't hate me.

Heck yeah! Just being in shape with a normal body weight makes you feel sexier. Menopause is very tough to get through. Exercise helps with keeping the extra pounds off and increasing your energy level. Having a partner who stays healthy and desirable helps a lot too...
In real life, women don't pander to men past the age of about 40 years. Most have had enough of their BS and move on to other more rewarding pursuits.

Then that woman is with the wrong man.
