agip,
I ran for Coach Igloi from 1967 to 1970. Also, I authored a paper in Track and Field Quarterly Review titled "Mihaly Igloi Revisited" that outlines my training in detail from the 1970 season.

agip,
I ran for Coach Igloi from 1967-1970 when he left for Greece to be their national coach.
I have not changed my handle at this point.

one more - about how many years were you a college coach?
The troll is quick, I'll give him that.
agip,
1985-1996

hmm.....you say elsewhere that were a coach for 19 years....
agip,
In my haste to beat the troll, I misread your post and only gave you my last coaching assignment which was at Texas A&I. Prior to that, I did coach at
New Mexico Junior College, Barton County Community College and then Blinn Junior College before taking over at Texas A&I.
I apologize for the confusion.
Igy
ok how about this:
at some point in the past your son was a research assistant at a large university. Which one? or if that is complicated, what was his field?
agip, even I recall that information from this thread.
We will have to wait until "ghost" has a series of posts with Igy's signature--that signature being that it creates the desire to substantively respond.
Meanwhile, Igy, if that's not you (and at this point I don't think it is), it was nice to have you around while you lasted.

yeah, I don't think "ghost" is the real deal
ok well I suppose the thread will hibernate for a while unless the trolls go away.
too bad. This has been a truly great thread. But the vandals have torn it down from time to time and it has come back.
Maserati,
The post that has my detailed running biography is indeed me.
OK, now that you have twisted my arm. Since I do like discussing the market as you may be able to tell. And I have no desire to twist or distort for my own purposes.
Here is some market substance:
High for S&P 500 GAAP at LTM (Last Twelve Months) earnings in this business cycle was 9/30/2014 of $105.96 and a month ending PE of 18.61.
I have posted this information before.
This is the new information, with 96% of the S&P 500 companies reporting for 12/31/2015 the LTM is $87.07 with a month ending PE of 23.47.
In spite of the rally in the market, the valuation of the market is getting worse rather than better.
All you are seeing is a rally in a Bear market.
Igy
agip and Maserati,
agip you have a good memory. I coached for 19 years. New Mexico Junior College 1977-1979, Barton County Community College 1979-1982, Blinn College 1982-1983, Texas AM University-Kingsville 1983-1985, and University of Texas-Rio Grande Valley 1985-1996. I was inducted into the Athletics Hall of Fame at the University of Texas-Rio Grande Valley in 2012 as a coach.
The post on S&P earnings decline is indeed mine.
I have not changed my handle. If I do I will let you know.

I entered this five years ago in my calendar and it came due today.
more roubini nonsense. He predicted $100 bn in muni defaults 2011-2016.
Actual number around $25 bn.
more doomsayers proven wrong.
About $100 billion of U.S. municipal bonds will default during the next five years, according to Nouriel Roubini’s consulting firm, less than the “hundreds of billions†predicted for 2011 by Meredith Whitney.
“State and local debt problems are not systemic in nature, and will not infect the financial system, though they will dampen economic recovery,†David Nowakowski, the credit-strategy director at Roubini Global Economics LLC in New York, and Prajakta Bhide, an analyst, said in a report this week.
agip,
From Bloomberg:
"Puerto Rico has the population of Oklahoma and an economy smaller than Kansas. It also has more debt — $70 billion — than any U.S. state government except California and New York. This fact and the reasons behind it help explain why the territory has tumbled over a fiscal cliff, and why the resulting dismay extends to investors far beyond the Caribbean island. It’s a tale of financial mismanagement, Wall Street complicity and good intentions gone awry."
$25B + $75B = $95B

fair point
agip,
I have been getting in some good training lately. I am working with a PT that has an AlterG. The AlterG and a standing Desk has made a difference. We will se if it translate to a renewed masters career. It would be fun to compete again.
Hope your running is going well. Masters indoor starts Friday.
Igy
Now THAT is Igy.
Only the real Igy could make a good point, while simultaneously claiming that 25+75=95
lmao
I know it was just enthusiasm.
Maserati,
Sticky fingers....

excellent news, Igy.
Do you mean you are going to Masters Nats? Or you just mean the meet is starting? Masters nats indoors will be near me a few months after I turn 50 - I think I'll go that year.
the guys I know who could be competitive there have balked...far to go in order to run slow times at altitude.
Competition is such a two-edged sword. It gives purpose to the training and give the thrill, but it can lead to injury and frustration. It might be interesting to you to see how you reenter competition.
