We will see if your adept as you think you will be. I believe you admitted it didnot work so well in the small drop in February. My assumption is the real bear market will test you. My advice is to prepare in advance.

why would you hold positions in grossly overvalued securities? And i am assuming you hold them in funds you manage, not your own.
As for the drop in February, i did make some very small ill-timed trades and had to reverse them as the market changed direction. This happened several times and it was frustrating. But importantly, i only traded a miniscule amount of my holdings, and i bought back in quickly before the rebound. Admittedly, i probably would have been better to just ride it out and do nothing, in hindsight, but without investigating each trade, i can tell you i just lost a few hundred dollars at the most, and was invested for the full rebound.
Honestly, knowing when to buy is a lot easier than knowing when to sell. A bear market, or even misinterpreting the onset of one, could be very challenging.
