I don't get why some people don't want to admit that Jordan Hasay ever runs hard. Look at it this way: she ran the 10,000m six times in the last few months. All of them were between 31:46 and 32:40, except when she fell apart at Regionals (an effort that I would think was more taxing than a tempo run). The 31:46 was a race set up for her and her alone, with pacers and a loyal cheering section. So I'd say that is representative of her current best possible performance.
What if Rupp ran the 10,000 6 times on the track with an absolute best of 26:48 and 5 other times in the 27 to 27:30 range (along with some 5000s, a couple of high level 3000s, etc). Would you say he was probably not worn out because those were mostly just tempo runs?
Why do you think she got last at the race in Stockholm, in a time about 18 seconds slower than she ran in London a few weeks ago?
It's obvious. She's overcooked. There's a reason most people end their seasons after a certain number of carefully planned races - you can't hold a peak forever. She should never have been in the race in Stockholm.
As far as making money and getting to see Europe, I'm sure she can afford to see Europe without having to pay her way by racing. I doubt she made much in appearance fees at the race. I doubt she learned anything. I doubt she made much of an impression on the meet directors. I'm just surprised she was there at all. Salazar usually seems like a very careful planner. Rupp, Farah, Centrowitz, etc don't race nearly as frequently.
