She ran 805 meters probably.
She ran 805 meters probably.
Kemboi dnf'd today, but he's still the best!
She finally gets it right, but then throws it all away in the last 20 meters by drifting out to lane 5. She would have won no doubt had she not done that.
In case you don't know what he's talking about. Here's my post in another thread:
That was the most bizarre 800m I've seen.
First 400m as expected. Rabbit with Montano behind her.
Rabbit doesn't drop out and keeps going to 600. However at 600 she doesn't step off the track she stays in lane 2 and the field has to go around her.
Montano wans't running her normal type race and Ajee Wilson and Sum came by right before 600m.
They lead onto the homestretch with Montano right behind.
Montano then goes wide to start kicking. Sum starts pulling away but Montano is gaining. She's in lane 2, then she's in lane 3, then she's in lane4, finally she ends up in lane 5 even thought Sum is in lane 1 and no on else is in front of them.
Montano definitely would have won the race if she stayed in lane 1. I've never seen anything like it. She drigted out to lane 5 for no apparent reason. She couldn't run straight for some reason.
flower on one side of her head threw her off balance?
exactly :)
It's because she's dumb! Like Bill Bowerman played by Donald Sutherland said in fictional film ''Without Limits'' said He's a front runner , it may work in high school level ,but in international level it's a disaster, of course that was said about Steve Prefontaine ,played by Billy Crudup , but i think in this case of Montano this also applies. Just ask Charles Jock, Duane ''BANG" Solomon, Z.Tadese , Haile Haile Geb when he tryed to drop Bekele in 2003 in 10k. It just dumb!
had she done a dizzy izzy (twirling around a baseball bat with your forehead on the bat) before the race, therefore her equilibrium was screwed up?
Kemboi is in comfortable lead, just like in Moscow! #SWAG

POST OF THE YEAR!
I love watching Montano. In a sport of steely-eyed robots, she brings an engaging wackiness to athletics. My favourite American runner. And she was so close to winning tonight, even with the drift towards the crowd.
I had to laugh when the commentator said she was heading for an early shower.
ya gotta root for her to win now after this
How dumb is she, go out all hard , 3m gap on field then put herself in box, jumps out in lane two almost falling and then going wide by running extra meter what she needed to win... SO DUMB!

fictional movie script snippet:
Donald Southerland: Don't be a front runner. It may work at the high school level, but at the international level, it's a disaster!
Jenny Simpson: Er, OK.
Nick Symmonds: True dat.
David Rudisha: Got it. Thanks.

I feel this way half the time and the other half I get angry.
She's clearly smart:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uUh9dtZQODgI think she sees herself as a free spirit, playing at running rather than making it a grind, a job.
Rudisha: Actually.. Screw that. I'll just pull the field along AND destroy the world record in the process.
fix'd

Even you don't seem to know how far the lane 5 break is.
