Sure looks that way.

His best race of the outdoor season has been the WC 10,000, so no, I would not say he peaked too early.
In terms of this outdoor season, one could argue his 10K at worlds was indeed his best race. That said, I truly believe the Rupp from February would have raced better this past week than what we saw. He just didn't seem to truly engage/commit from 400 out in either race. Other than Oxy, he's looked tired and less confident than last year.
From what I've heard, he only took one full week of running off after his Olympic cycle and was back up to 100+ miles within 3 weeks. Considering his remarkable improvements in 2012, I'm sure him and Alberto were excited for the next bump in fitness and misjudged the impact of their aggressive fall/winter of work.
It will be interesting to see what the focus will be next year after indoors. Perhaps new American records 3000, 5000, and 10,00?
I don't follow. If you are saying he peaked when would you say he peaked? Are you talking about his indoor runs in March?

Galen is going to run the last mile in less than 4 minutes and he dares anybody to go with him.
He obviously peaked during indoors with the 3:50.9 and 7:30. He was very strong and confident then. He's not that far off right now and could still pull it together in the European season. I hope he does it. But maybe he'll get that right in 2015.

As others pointed out you're an idiot. Rupp has peaked too late if anything.
I think that he and Salazar crew are dancing in the gray zone and crossing the line on TUEs, etc. With that being said, he does seem to have allergy issues, hence "The Mask". I had allergy issues all through college, and didn't get them under control until I turned 40. My 3k, 2 mile and 5k PRs were all indoors. No pollen and mold to deal with in the winter - I was so depressed and fatigued by outdoor season that I couldn't even match my indoor times.

Whats left for euro races this summer? I wouldn't be surprised if his best outdoor race is still to come. I think they pushed him hard a little too long and he never got the chance to get his legs really under him in terms of sharpness. Love to see him in a rabbitted race now at 3k or 5k.

That's what I think. Perhaps they misjudged the down time. He was unresponsive off the slow pace in the 5 and given past form expected him to be in the mix at the later stages. That said, I have no personal knowledge of their plan.
It would be great if Rupp could tinker with his system for next year to peak properly outdoors. His best over 5 and 10 could still be ahead of him, especially as he's been concentrating on medaling the past two outdoor seasons.
It was cool to see his fast mile and 3K this winter past, but I'd much prefer to see him on the podium getting another 10K medal.

You say those like they're mutually exclusive...
