Just as I predicted.
Nobody who actually follows track closely thought Jager would medal.

lol at all the flotrack posts asking "WILL JAGER MEDAL"?
bruh has no kick
Pretty much.
Overrated by fanboys.
Got OWNED in the stretch.
Jager needs to go harder from further out. He doesn't have the sprint speed of the top 3.
jager has to start stabbing women if he ever wants to be there in the last 150
Outclassed by Kemboi and Kipruto, not sure what to do to beat them in the future. Solid run though.
Cheeky Kemboi, pointing that finger at Kipruto.
lol, Kemboi wears the Kenyan flag as a skirt this time during his victory dance

So happy for him. He is a genuine great guy.
Great Kemboi victory dance
where can we watch worlds guys??? I cant get a link to work....
Nice run by Hughes.
Jager ran too conservative, like he was running a prelim.
5th is an okay result for him.

+1
Outdoped*
Yes, no kick compared to the Kemboi and Kipruto, but almost dipped for 4th, and certainly was not going backwards liked Mekhissi. Unfortunately, could not accelerate at 200 with the medallists.
Great races by both Jager and Hughes. Remember this is only Jager's second year in the event.
I agree with TJ, he needed to make his move at the bell just like Mekhissi did. He wouldn't have won the race but he might have been able to grab bronze. Trying to outkick Kemboi off the final turn is a lost cause.

Go Evan!

You still have Mehkisshi
I thought he could beat Mutai (he did), Koech (.05 short) and maybe Mekhissi. I guess I was too optimistic haha
Jager looked good. The steeple was stacked this year, but he was still able to improve on his Olympic place.

5th in the world- great race by Jager! You naysayers are just loser **sholes.
2 non-Africans in the top 5. This is what track needs to gain in popularity. Having fungible Kenyans and Ethiopians win everything is boring. A real Frenchman and an American with top finishes and they were a part of the race!

I think going backwards for 3rd is better than almost dipping for 4th
