Whitey Bulger found GUILTY!
Whitey Bulger found GUILTY!
Damn hero to the neighborhood. Its a shame that these liars got their way. He did more to help us than hurt us in Southie and Dorchester.
If he only did 1% of what they claimed in the trial, at his age it would be enough to put him away for the rest of his life. Anyway, a murdering scumbag. I assume post 2 is trolling but he made most of his money ripping off Southies.
He's 83, jail is probably doing him a favor. 3 meals a day. Big Screen TV. Free medicines.
No he did not. There are a lot of bad people and he kept us safe from the government trying to take advantage of the poor in the area. He kept them away.
The F.B.I. should be made to wear clown suits and ass-hats for their part in the Bulger affair.
last time I checked protecting the people of Southie from the government was not excuse to commit murder. Your "hero" deserves the electric chair.

Last time I checked, it was Whitey the people of Southie needed protection from.
He could come knocking on your door anytime, telling you that you need pay him X amount or else something bad might unexpectedly happen to you.
Protected the people from what? Loan sharks that were Italian-American? Stopped the integration of the public housing in neighbourhood? He was a gangster leech....
To whom do you speak?

I was responding to the troll claiming that Whitey was some sort of hero to people in South Boston.

Certainly his killing is convenient for Mueller.
Law enforcement sources tell DailyMail.com that Whitey had been talking about outing people in the FBI – people in the top echelon of the informant program.
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-6334189/Boston-gangster-Whitey-Bulger-killed-bars.htmlit was Mueller, first as an assistant US attorney then as the acting U.S. attorney in Boston, who wrote letters to the parole and pardons board throughout the 1980s opposing clemency for the four men framed by FBI lies. Of course, Mueller was also in that position while Whitey Bulger was helping the FBI cart off his criminal competitors even as he buried bodies in shallow graves along the Neponset…”

You seem to unaware of who runs the FBI. It is not Mueller. And, believe it, or fail to, the FBI has a Yuge number of informants who have absolutely nothing to do with Mueller's investigation.
Talk about "recentism"... Mueller did (literally) run the FBI during a significant span of the Bulger era (2001-2013). Nobody cares about the so-called "Russia" investigation he's flounting around anyway.
You seem unaware of Mueller's role in Whitey's history.
It was nicely copied above, but to no surprise low-know readers will avoid the effort.

Hi Flagpole!
According to TMZ, Bulger was jumped by a group of three inmates just a day after he had transferred from a prison in Pennsylvania to the U.S. Penitentiary Hazelton in Bruceton Mills, West Virginia. One inmate allegedly beat him with a padlock in a sock, then another tried to gouge his eyes out with a makeshift shiv. He was beaten until he fell out of his wheelchair, unconscious and badly bruised on his head. The prisoners reportedly wheeled him to the corner of the room so the attack would not be picked up on surveillance video.
Gouging one’s eyes out, TMZ points out, is a trademark signature of 1940s mobsters. They apparently do this to informants and snitches as a warning message to others who may be considering ratting out their buddies.
Wow, Johnny Depp must be having a bad week, first he gets canned from Pirates, and then another signature role gets terminated.
You play with the FBI, you pay.
