The schedule makes it not feasible, but one has to ask: how can he be this confident if he is not doping?

I don't know, being good at running might help though.
About 5 to 6 years ago, mo was a 13:10 guy for four consecutive years, 2006-2009. Now he's like the new Aouita. If this doesn't raise any eyebrows than wow.

Oh, okay, he improved, must be on the juice, why didn't I see that before?
No problem. Up the dosage.
And Aouita was doped to the gills too...
The guy is definitely doping! They need to investigate the entire Nike Oregon Project.

None of the legends in recent history could even imagine doing such a thing. Geb didn't even double, and this man meets Alberto Salazar and now wants to triple? What? I mean, whatchu talkin' bout MF?

MF = Mo Farah
MF = Mother F*****
Just because he said it doesn't necessarily means he means it. The head game for Moscow is on now, the more intimidated his opponents become the easier he'll cruise to victory. Also, it's Nike PR for the masses, gotta strike while the iron is hot, yesterday it was a special 600 meters race agains Bolt (which might or might not happen AFTER Worlds so why else talk about it NOW?), tomorrow there'll be something else. You guys gotta stop taking everything everyone says literally before putting it in the larger context! ;-P
Sounds like Mo's playing with the media.
Not likely that he'd contemplate such a feat without checking the racing schedule nor discussing it with his coach.
The Sun, as most if not all British tabloids, is hardly a reliable source. But for the sake of argument, let's assume that Mo really did say exactly this:
"If anything now in terms of my world record ambitions I’m closer to the 1500m than anything else. It’s weird."
Then I'd translate that too: "Hallo post World Champs Diamond League Meet Directors - put up the money and I'll change my plans to take the rest of the season off, if you want me and are prepared to pay up for it I can come race Kiprop again over the 1500, and this time I won't give him and the rabbit 20 meters to make up on the last lap, this time I'll be up there with him from the start and we'll both push each other to something even better than in Monaco...
I also doubt he seriously wanna triple this summer; keep in mind in the past there were also 10k prelims that´s why Haile for example did not double...
IF HE TRIPLED:
GOLD 5K
GOLD 10K
BRONZE 1500M
CONCLUSION: DOPER
he considered the quadruplet originally
1500,5,10,marathon
dr brown said he couldn't jack up the thyroid enough for this
so he asked for the triple
To date this year, USADA has tested Galen Rupp ten times (in and out of competition), Dathan Ritzenhein six times, Matt Centrowitz six times, Tara Erdmann two times, and, by way of comparison, Chris Derrick one time, Chris Solinsky three times, Evan Jager, two times, and Tyson Gay three. This does not count any testing in overseas competitions.http://www.usada.org/athlete-test-history

Why would the 10k prelims stop him from attempting to double?
two 5ks
two 10ks
all in the matter of two weeks?
People would have attacked him in the prelims just to get him out of the final.

Yes, whats wrong with that schedule? Geb was the WR holder. The prelims would have been nothing for him.
He attempted the double in the '93 WC with that and got the silver in the 5k. I don't understand why he wouldn't have tried again in later championships when he was better.
