Probably the most impressive performance in the race. She was right there up until 200 meters to go. If she can develop a kick, she's going to be world-class.

False. Rowbury's performance was the most impressive. She crushed it over the final 200m and showed why her move up to 5k is going to be a great move. Hasay's performance was strong, but she still lost by 5 seconds.
probably not. i guess you didn't see rowbury glide by everyone and run away effortlessly?
lol, Rowbury is 10+ years older and isn't a 10K runner. comparing the 2 is ridiculous. Hasay did great, collect $2500 laugh at the haters.

Hasay did do great, I am not disputing that, but the OP said it was the most impressive performance in the field, which I disagree with. Who cares about age? Rowbury beat Hasay by 5 seconds, which is huge in a 3k. Hasay is on the right track and showing she's going to do well in Moscow. Btw, you don't think Hasay has speed? She only this year (4 months ago) became a 10k runner. She was a 1,500m runner before that, which is what Rowbury was...and $2500 isn't a whole lot of money. There is no hate for Hasay, just disagreeing with the initial statement and having an actual discussion.
She will get there, it has been a long season for her, she closed in 63 to Rowburys 58. A nice PR..and last 1000m in 2:49.
You don't seem to realize that Rowbury is doing the 5000m, fresh off 4 flat and now 8:41 with a slow pace, and she would likely crush Hasay at 10000m also. What has the latter done so far to make her such the favorite here? She's a pretty good runner and until she turns to marathon, she'll be overrated. But this was a big step forward for her.
Rowbury is taking Manzano juice. All she is good for.
Dibaba will pat Rowbury on the hiney as she blows by her.
Hasay's PR in the 800 is around 2:08. She is the Ritz of US women's long distance running. She ran great tonight, especially coming in with a PR around 9:06 for the 3 indoors and 15:47 in the 5.

Hasay was without the most impressive in the race. I was expecting Rowbury to win this one. She's a 1500m runner who is just coming off a 4:01 SB. Anything less than first place would have been disappointing for her. Hasay is also only 21 years old, running in her first Diamond League race.

Same thing will happen to Hasay in the 10k.
Just like in the 10 at Nationals, she put herself right in the mix at the outset. Which reminds me how Conley's coach, Drew Wartenburg, ripped Hasay's effort to get the "A" standard as "a charade," that it wasn't really a race. Well, Hasay is proving she knows how to race and has some onions.

She wouldn't have even run the 5k most likely if she had qualified in the 1500. She just ran a 4:01.28 in the 1500....why would this suggest anything about moving up being a good idea?
before implying it was a great performance, ONCE AGAIN beaten by Sheila Reid.
Like in 2011 when Hasay stomped Reid twice in Indoor? hahahahaha Sheila Reid sucks. Go move to Canada already!
El G would regularly stomp Bekele in 5000s.
