Holman's a very bright guy but had no kick and did not feel confident enough to go hard from the gun in the U.S. trials, which I thought he should have done in a weak era for the 1500m in the U.S., as his times were far superior to the others. He ran as fast as Centro and was consistent, but Centro can still go a lot faster and is a great tactician and kicker, with hardware and possible future past hardware (Makloufi/Iguider). However, Centro was just in a true TT style race. If you don't think a 3:27.7/3:28.8/3:29.5/3:30s race was TT style (2:45.91 at 1200m), then nothing is. He was not fit enough to stick. I'd like to know what his splits were. Out too fast or just not 100 percent?
