Has your interest been blocked for the last 5 years? I thought this was pretty common knowledge that China censors the internet and all other forms of media. News flash, North Korea censors their media too!Anyhow, who goes to China to surf the internet? I took my daughter there a few months ago. We took the train to Chengdu to see the Panda bears. It was a pretty amazing trip. My daughter, at 18 months, had a tonne of fun running around the train (25 hours train ride) with all the Chinese kids. The scenery was awesome.

I visited China and was unable to reach these websites. I know China has its own version of Facebook called RenRen.
The thing is that I can't access anything about Tienaman Square incident on the Internet there.
My experience with Internet speeds in China?
Shanghai nice rooftop hotel overlooking the tall buildings - solid speed Internet but still a tad slow
Shanghai moderately priced hotel - slow Internet
Rural china - very slow internet
