Well beaten like usual.
He's just the perfect man.
$ race by Symmonds. Important mentally for him to PR in the 1500. Now he knows he's in the best shape of his life and will hopefully get on the podium this year.
I'm hoping he starts to really transition from the 800 to 1500 after World's. With Solomon and Johnson, America's 800 field is strong and young. I think it's time for Symmonds to pass the torch onto the new era of 800 runners and shift up to the 1500. With more 1500 specific training he could be a consistent 3:31-3:32 and American Top 3. I think that's where his future is and I think he knows it. Can't wait to see his future accomplishments.
with a 1:42 high that makes a good 1500m runner with proper training?
And for getting his high jump career started: http://www.flotrack.org/coverage/250879-Sainburys-Anniversary-Games-London-Diamond-League-2013/video/718037-Nick-Symmonds-double-talk-for-Rio-may-be-in-the-800-and-high-jump
I honestly cannot wait for Symmonds to toast the fck out of Centrowitz in the 1500m. Nothing would be better than seeing Leo and Nick take an absolute shit on Centro the last 100m

If if the pace is pushed early, better not expect Manzano to be in contention. At least Centro and Symmonds could hold there own in a blazing race this past weekend in Monaco.
Solomon and Johnson aren't young guys in the world of 800 meter running. They're both 28 years old, a year younger than Symmonds. Both competed for years (Johnson in the hurdles until last year) previously with much less success than they're having now. They actually belong to the same era as Symmonds.
To date, none of the actual young guys, like Loxsom, Greer, or Sowinski, have beaten Symmonds in the 800. So far there's no reason for him to move up to the 1500 unless he wants to. His new 1500 PR does indicate that he can if he does want to, and it indicates good strength for getting through the rounds in the 800 at Moscow.
