I keep telling you guys he's very consistently inconsistent. He has to get his stinker in. Now he's set for Moscow. Tongue only slightly in cheek.

I agree, but I'd like to see Ritz get sub 27, especially as it would really set up his confidence for Chicago.

I don't think Mo can be beaten in a fast race...

This guarantees that the 10000 in Moscow will be fast. No one has a chance in leaving this to the end or even varying the pace. Ritz is smiling in St. Moritz![quote]Oggy wrote:
Please. Ritz can't place in a kick OR in a strength race. He has zero wheels and has never sniffed sub-27.
I felt really bad for Cram calling it. You could hear the pain in his voice as Mo was coming down the home straight when it dawned on him that Mo was going to get the record. He sounded like a man that knew he was saying goodbye to something important and significant for the very last time.

4th and 6th fastest 1500m ever run today. Incredible race. Last time anyone ran below 3:29.14 was 2006!
Except Kiprop, who ran 3:28.high at Monaco last year...
So much for American medal hopes in this one.
symmonds faired as expected at 3.34. i'm actually somewhat disappointed at centro's run...seems like this would have been his chance to really get low. farah= wow. kiprop = double wow. manzano...wtf, dude??? is driouch the moroccan kid from world juniors last year out of jama aden's group?
Symmonds didn't run the 3:32/3 he promised, but getting the A is still pretty good. If I recall correctly, he does pretty low mileage so he likely has a lot of upside if he decides to make the move up.
what was Symmonds approach to the race? did he hang back like in the 800? was he moving up at the end or just hanging on?
Monaco definitely confirmed for best DL.

Wow, so much for Mo being vulnerable. Unless he gets injured he is a lock for gold at both 5 and 10.
i bet rupp is pretty pumped after seeing that, and ritz too. i think rupp may tear it up in the 5000.
Is it true ?
Jager beats Koech at Monaco in USA 'chase record.
Have any other events been contested? If this is going to be the update thread, then we have the 1500 update. Perhaps this great race can be discussed on a thread that is not set up for UPDATES?
Nice win for Solomon in the 800. 1:43. Way to rep!
Johnny Gray rides again!
Just like USATF, Solomon takes them into the Gray Zone. Right to the front and nobody catches him.

Barely...just barely..will he hold off Bosse in WC though?

AMAZING clash with Aman (and Symmonds) shaping up.

Not very likely as there's no men's steeplechase in the program.
results?
Kitum not looking anything like last year's version. Solomon's 800 medal for the USA getting closer every race.
