Big changes and they r not good.
1. 30 fits a 1/2 size smaller than the 29.
2. 30's midsole is A LOT firmer.
3. 30's upper fits very sloppy in the midfoot and toe box area.
Thanks Nike for F^&king up this shoe,

I needed to get a new pair of shoes last week and tried on the Pegasus 30. Fortunately they had a pair of the 29s in my size in the bargain pile. Everything this guy says is 100% accurate in my experience.
The fit is the same.
The midsole is the exact same, any different feeling is a delusional one.
Its mostly aesthetic updates.
+1 Just the upper is different. Why are you people lying?
The extensive shoe review online also said the fit is different but better and a bit smaller up front. What happened to the reflectors? I am stocking up on 29. The 30 looks very fruity anyway.

I'm not lying.
Hmm this sounds great to me! The 29's were way too soft and wide for my feet. My favorite ones were the 28's. Hoping the feel is somewhat similar.
The new pegs put AIR back in the forefoot of the shoe. The 29s only had AIR under the heel. THey removed the flywire wrap and retooled the upper a tad on the 30s.
Overall the shoe about 0.5oz heavier and possibly stiffened up the front of the shoe by adding the AIR pocket.
Do your research before posting about the shoe.
False.
There was no Flywire in the 29.
The 30 has Air in the heel just like the 29. It has the EXACT SAME MIDSOLE. I can fill you in on Nike 24/12 midsole change in detail if you like?
The only change in the shoe is the upper and that is the bonded seams in the 30.
I work for Nike.
I work for Nike.

How about the fit though? 28 was tad narrow for me. 29 was a perfect fit. Online review says it has more snug toe box. I really don't care about other changes much. But what happened to rear night light reflectors? Don't see them on the pics I found on the web.
You my work for Nike but no way is the Peg 30 the same as the 29. I think you need to not run on the nice soft woodchip trails surrounding Nike World when making your claim. Nike F#$ked up the 30's period!!!!

Fruity???
I thought that the 29 was extremely fruity, with all of the neon yellow that was used in the ones I saw on display at a NikeTown. Is the 30 even more effiminate-looking? If so, who in the hell is designing these shoes?
Yes the 28 was a snug fit, the 29 had more room in the toebox.
The upper in the 30 is a tad snugger than the 29. The bonded seams make it a sleaker fit over the foot.
The midfoot now has the reflective material.
You say the 30 fits 1/2 size smaller but the toebox sloppy? That doesn't sound right did you try the exact same sizes on?
I didn't say the 29/30 are the exact same but the midsole def is.
Nike changes the midsoles on Pegasus every 24 months and give the upper a yearly(12 month) update.
I've run over 400 miles in a pair on all surfaces and I'm happy with them. I will say I like the 28 better, although Ive heard from customers the 30 is the best they've had since the 90s and even 80s!
I tried on the 30's and I found them to fit the same as the 29's. I can't imagine they perform any different either. I had a pair of 29's with me and I wouldn't have been able to tell the difference if mine weren't broken in.
I wore the Pegasus 30 and I am have never been a Nike person. The 30 feels amazing. Like weight yet very cushioned. Not too much support in the mid sole but still a very cushioned shoe. Love it!!!
Seeing some harsh reviews on the 30! I'm a brooks guy loved the glycerine 9's hated the 10's initially loved the 11's. I'm training for my first marathon and for the 1st time ever feeling lots of pain in my feet and ankles. I'm sure it's the shoe. I tried on a pair of the peg 30s and love them. But dicks has a pair of 29's on close out 30 bucks cheaper. I tried them on and they feel identical. Every shop I go to says the brooks is a much better shoe but I wish I would have discovered the Pegasus years ago. I would have saved about 50 bucks a pair! In looking at reviews on the 29 people griped that it sucked vs the 28's. Sounds like we all hate change. Yes they are fruity. Who cares? Between the sweat and flatuance fruity looking shoes are the least of our worries. Gonna buy the 29's tomorrow unless they are sold. If they are sold I'm buying the 30's. can't wait till the 31's come out so I can complain about them!
29s... very nice. Have some blue/black ones.
30s... haven't trid any, I can't get past the horrid style/colors. Who designs these things?
I could not wear the 29s. Had a lot of pain in forefoot when tried them. Was hoping the 30 s would work better for me. Recently found maybe the last pair of 28s in my size in the world at a Nike outlet store, so I'm good for a little bit. If you've tried them both, are the 30s more like the 28s or the 29s? I was surprised the colors were so hideous but I don't care what they look like.
