It's good to see him bounce back after a disappointing NCAA indoors. If the Brits leave him off the team, they are foolish.

I havent really done any speed work, because I tore my hamstring in May and had three weeks with no work-outs, said the Oklahoma-based Scot. I would assume that Ive done enough, but I wouldnt want to go celebrating being in the team yet.

First of all, he didn't tear his hamstring. Specially in May. Solinsky tore his hamstring and look how long it has taken him to come back (and I'm sure solinsky has access to a lot more and higher quality rehab).
Secondly, O'hare always says he hasn't don't any speed work. Far from the truth. He was doing speed work indoors last year, this year, and most likely now. For some reason, it seems as if he wants to intimidate his competitors by making it look like as if he's not even at his top form.

You have to factor in the time (early afternoon) and the 30C+ weather in the UK currently. Those times are meaningless.

Really Dr. Scottishlies? Do you know anything about muscle tears? Just like with most injuries they come in various degrees. Solinsky's was about as bad as they come. He actually had an avulsion of the hamstring, which isn't really a muscle tear, where the muscle became detached from its origin on the bone which obviously required surgery. Most muscles tears do not, and this was obviously the case with Mr. O'Hare. As long as there are muscle fibers torn in his hamstring, then he tore his hamstring.

How do you think the Brits feel knowing their 1500m national championship has become an NCAA-level affair?

Why did they stage a mile run to get qualifiers for a 1500?
