I'll try to make out the women's steeple on the pics too as it wasn't that big (only 7 finishers):
1. Milcah Chemos Cheywa 9:38.6
2. Gladys Jerotich Kipkemoi 9:39.7
3. Hyvin Kiyeng Jepkemoi 9:39.5 (sic - this is how I read it)
4. Lydia Chepkurui 9:42.4 - she was the world leader so I assume this is a disappointment
5. Purity Cherotich Kirui 9:46.2
6. Lydia Chebet Rotich 9:46.6
7. Fancy Cherotich 9:59.3
Ruth Bisibori
Jane Murage

Doesn't indicate whether the NTs were DNFs or DNSs like the other one did
Wow haha how can Kemboi and Koech suck that much and run that terrible...Kemboi better get a wildcard cause if not that's just embarrassing.
And Kitum doesn't even make the team after Olympic bronze...wow haha.

Have you paid attention to the steeplechase at all in the last 30 years? Kenya has 10 guys who could win a medal on the right day at any point. Making the team is almost as hard as medaling.
Looks like the young guys did well. Of those with the huge PRs, only the youngest made it.
Kemboi has a sub-8 this year and a 7:55 pb from 2011.
P. Koech has a 7:54 pr from 2012.
But they're both 31
B. Kipruto is 27 (7:53 pb from '11)
Abel is 25 (8:01 pr)
Conseslus is 18 (8:01 pr)
Its hilarious how the Kenyans can jog under 3:34 and the Americans need set up races to barely crack it. The Americans got lucky last year. I hope they savored the moment.

4. Emmanuel Bett 27:43.27
5. Josphat Kipkoech 27:44.26
this is going to be bad for kenya
same top 2 guys who failed dismally in london back again
those 2 aren't going to run away from mo ( although 27'31 at altitiude isn't bad - not far off kiprop's altitude wr of 27'26 from '10 when geoff mutai was close behind )
some minor consolation is that a 26'52 guy from last year in kipkemoi made it in 3rd ( although walloped by 11s )
i hoped bett, a 26'51 guy from last year wouda been there but only 4th
kipkoech, a 26'48 guy from '11 also didn't make it in 5th
bad news for wilson kiprop who was apparently with pack towards end but faded - since his london dnf he has had 1 good race, a 59'13pb= but a dismal M debut of 2"19
his 10k days maybe finished
also i was under impression, chepkok, a 26'51 guy from '12 & geoffrey mutai were going to run trials - did they enter ?
also the new "star" of kenyan distance running, geoffrey kipsang said earlier in year he was going for 10k at trials - was he entered ?
if anyone has full results, please post them
That 10k result is very close to the full result. Very few finishers.
Everyone just dropped out when they dropped from the lead pack.
I think John Mwanagangi finished and I remember him being 5th/6th and those 2 being the last places.
A decent sized field started. Wilson Kiprop dropped late in the race. Martin Mathathi made some surges mid race but then dropped. Vincent Chepkok probably made about 7k.
Many more drop outs.
Mutai didn't start. Not sure on Kipsang or Kurui
they said the heat was bad for the 10k & add that altitude, it doesn't add up to a proper trial for a cool, low-altitude race in moscow
leaving 26'50 guys at home is a travesty
i don't think kenya will produce a viable 10k team for forseable future if they keep holding their 10k trials here
holding the trials in eugene last year wasn't such a bad idea...
