I predict a last second Presidential pardon! The Turkey always skirts its fate!
Drugs are a major part of our sport. Some countries have a calculated process of doping. In the United States it is companies that provide the doping because Americans do not put up with major secretive plans unless it is to protect the country.
Well, they have a terrible, corrupt government, so I wouldn't be surprised if they had a systematic doping program.
Well, Russia won't get thrown out of the Champs, so can't see Turkey going. Will be good to have all the cheats out of their team though.
i hear they've got NIKE in their sights too
they got the low hanging fruit now........
the so-called dumb dopers
now they going after the high-tech crews.......

It would be tough to throw the Russians out of Russia this year. We all saw how the London locals responded to Murray winning Wimbledon or MO at the Olympics. Free Pass for the home team.
Very interesting. Thanks for posting. Countries that show a consistent inability or unwillingness to get their doping under control should be banned for an Olympic cycle.

No, they don't have Nike in their sights, because hey always test the Nike guys and gals out of season already.
You can practically chart it by the athletes twitters, some are funny, and some are ticked off like Symmonds.
Just to make it interesting for you, if NOP ever tests positive, I'll never post here again, and give the Brojo's my blessing to delete every post I ever posted.
Nike and NOP are clean, and you're just gonna have to deal with it.

It all depends on your definition of clean. Just because it is not banned does not make it ethical.
Nike is so very clean. It is interesting that Nike sponsors the Turkish Athletic Association.http://www.listemis.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/nevin-yanit.jpghttp://static.guim.co.uk/sys-images/Sport/Pix/pictures/2013/5/3/1367612086476/Asli-Cakir-Alptekin--at-L-008.jpg

You don't know how the sport works.
Each country has a division of Nike that sponsors athletes and sometimes the national team.
Nike doesn't have the resources to go test all the athletes; that is WADA and IAAF's jobs.
Nike does have clauses in their contracts protecting them from athletes that are busted.
There are so many athletes and so many sports, that it is impossible for Nike to run their own testing program for every sport -- to wit -- not of those countries or sports would allow such a thing anyway. MLB, NFL, etc., they're players unions have been fighting testing for a long time.
Anyway, it is too frigging complicated.
Which is why I always say, if you want clean sport write IAAF and support them. We'll learn more on this breaking story about Turkey, and IAAF should be congratulated for their efforts.
Now with the Russian lab scandal mixed in...should the WC's be canceled? Removed from Moscow. Worst case scenario, it could get pretty dicey.

Russian athletes - including those who robbed Brits of medals - 'ordered to dope by coaches' and officials 'demanded cash to mask positive tests'

So if Turkey gets thrown out. And you read this article and if it is true, and the head of this lab is suspect...is WADA and IAAF going to have their own people in their too over seeing that the Russians don't cheat by posting fake clean results, and false positives of other countries athletes...
These are two potentially huge breaking scandals a month before the world Championships.

I don't think the "major secretive plans" part has anything to do with it. We just have a more individualized, entrepreneurial doping system.

Capitalism!
(For the record, I think the NOP guys are not doing anything against the rules.)

I agree with you. And they are clean.
Nike doesn't give a damn what NOP get up to
they're long association with LA and MJ prove that
they said they may evn hook up with lance in the future
never say never he said.......
Knight seems to be distancing himself from Armstrong and rather than saying that they will hook up in the future he is saying there are no just plans whatsoever.
You are pro-doping, so you're hearing what you want to hear.
A Duck you cannot be positive that the NOP is clean just like other people cannot be positive that they are dirty. There are athletes who dope without their families knowing and you think you would know whether or not they are doping. Even if you are Alberto Salazar there is still a chance that athletes are taking things without your knowing.
plenty of WASPS dope
ijn the US and the UK
but they're craftier than your average doper
they don't get caught much.......many got away
