They sent Kara Goucher USA team gear for Worlds. Are they trying to say they don't think Hasay and Erdmann will get the standard?

Even if they get it, wouldn't Kara be the alternate? It has happened before that alternates get the call.
Sheesh, I have my alternates dress and get ready to go right up to the race.

No, they are sending gear to all the people that might have to wear it.
Very class of Goucher.

No classy would be NOT posting a pic and just stfu about it.

What freaking loser you are. She made a classy move- wished them luck and told everyone they deserve the uniforms more than she does.
Ignoring it would have been classless.
I think that she is subtly trying to point out that she is currently on the team. It is a smart and polite way to get a little dig in at Alberto after his "best workout ever by a female". I LIKE IT.

^ This.
Nothing wrong at all with a little bantering back and forth between competitors. It makes things more interesting. Helps strengthen fan interest.

Somehow I don't think she'd brag by drawing attention to her debacle in Des Moines.
Goucher should just say "I'm taking my talents to Moscow unless you bitches beat me".
It's on.

I read it differently than you. I thought she was saying. I have never run worse, and I am still going to Moscow. I even got the uniform to prove it. Did Erdmann or Hasay get theirs yet? That's what I thought.
I think they processed up to six in each event after the Trials, the first 4 and the next two that had an A(possible it was Bs also). Get processed get kit just in case.

You'd have to be totally neurotic to see this as a dig at anyone.

from T&FNews
10,000: Flanagan, Hastings.Hasay would be added if she gets A or B. Erdmann would be added if she gets A, or if she gets B and Hasay gets A.If both are added, they bump Hastings from team. Goucher could be added if neither Hasay nor Erdmann make team
full team status as of July 8th

Agreed... Letsrunners looking WAY into it. Classy move by Goucher to wish them luck.

Welcome to the LetsRun message boards.
The Tweet was very much along the lines of Goucher's comments after the race in Des Moines. She's saluting the other two, Hasay and Erdmann, and not feeling very proud of the prospect of going to Moscow as a fifth place USATF finisher.
Too many letsrun poster's are so devoid of maturity or anything but the cheapest kind of cynicism that they can't recognize a sincere gesture or believe in it when they see it. What a horrible way to live.

Sad, right?
It is SO clearly a positive message to the other two, while still being proud to (likely) be running in Moscow.
Just to clear a few things up.
In response to runn "Sheesh, I have my alternates dress and get ready to go right up to the race"
Alternates do not get to make the trip to Worlds. it is not like a high school league meet where you put an extra kid on the bus and have them warm up with the team just in case someone has a nervous breakdown.
In response to Did Alberto Send it "I think they processed up to six in each event after the Trials, the first 4 and the next two that had an A(possible it was Bs also). Get processed get kit just in case."
USATF doesn't send out uniforms to all the people processed "just in case". Those uniforms must be earned and are not just given out. At the moment Kara is on the team if nothing changes so USATF isn't just giving her the uniform just in case.
