His performance reminded me of Contador and Chicken Rasmussen '07.
Looks like The Chicken too.

He's a professional cyclist, right? So the chances of his being clean = 0%.
What the hell is wrong with you people?
Well, he says that he's clean and that the sport has changed
Who has the better doping program...
OTC or Team Sky?
Or are Rupp/Froome taking the same kinds of "legal" enhancements?
Here's the fastest times ever for the climb they did today:
Roberto Laiseka 2001: 22'57"
Armstrong 2001: 22'59"
Froome 2013: 23'14''
Ulrich 2003: 23'17"
Armstrong 2005: 23'40"
Menchov 2010: 23'47"
Nope, not suspicious at all.
He is doped to the gills but it is unclear what he and the others are using. The current trend in cycling seems to be losing huge amounts of weight while retaining power, so probably some unknown variant of GW1516 / AICAR
I would highly doubt that its a clean performance.
Would also be very interested in Lances perspective on this one..it beats his time when he was doping, so does this time mean anything?
0% is correct, these guys are all cheaters.....if the times had dropped off substansially then they might be clean but the times are in line with the guys who were doing everything...steroids/HGH/EPA/thyroid meds, etc.
You guys are ignorant to say that based off of his time up that climb against Lance Armstrong's that he is dirty. Look at other variables.
What was the previous course to the Lance Armstrong course? The course today was a mellow ride leading up to the Col de Pailheres (HC) and the Ax 3 Domaines (Cat1).
How fast did Lance Armstrong complete the portion of the ride before reaching the Col De Pailheres and Ax 3 Domaines? Did Lance complete the course in 20min faster than everyone this year?
Did Lance solo the first part of the course AND the Col de Pailheres AND the Ax 3 Domaines? Unlike Contador on Stage 8 this year, Froome had a very disciplined, planned, strong team leading him the entire way. Team Sky did not make attacks, did not lose consistency and gave him a proper escort to the bottom of the Ax 3 Domaines. Froome didn't go solo until almost the last 5km when he was grimacing into the finish. If you noticed, he wasn't in the best condition to get out of his saddle to really kick into the finish.
What were Lance's previous stages like when compared to Froome's? Was Lance already pulling time for the yellow jersey at this point, or making attacks on the front and in the TTT? Froome has had a pretty easy run up to the Pyrenees today. Corsica provided a few hills, but for the most part, the coastal town to town rides are easy to recover from, especially when Team Sky has been escorting you the whole way. I don't think Froome has lead Sky once until today.
I am not saying he is or isn't clean, but pay attention to some details before you say Froome is drugged based on 5 miles of a 3,404 mile race.
not much
i worked in pro cycling for a few years
they doping

No you didn't.
Is pro cycling another name for the porn industry or something in your mind?

You took a lot of words to say nothing meaningful. I wouldn't opine that he's doping because his time over this or that col. Rather, he's a professional cyclist. That's all you need to know.
Tous dope.
Nothing has changed. Why would it? "Or, look, they're on to us! They got Armstrong! We need to clean up our act, fly straight from now on."
Please.
3,404 mile race huh? Pay attention to some details.
Tour is super clean at this point. It will take a couple of years for new "technology" in drug making to surpass the testing methodology.
All of what you say is true, and the context of the climb matters a lot.
That said, Froome's estimated power output (6.3 w/kg) is on the upper end of what we know a clean rider is capable of for 25 min at 8% grade. Given his company in that lofty realm and the sport's history, I'd be more shocked if he wasn't doping than if he was.

Good stats
Was that Armstrongs best time on that climb?

Absolutely.
In the riders' minds it's not doping if it's not tested for. Or if you have the current AND next UCI president in your pocket.
Perhaps there are more clean riders in the pro peloton now, but the pointy end stinks relatively badly.

Well, I stand f*cking corrected, then, I guess.
I lol-ed.
I'm more intrigued by his domination across the board this year than this one performance. He is gone from a decent but unspectacular rider to the tour patron in short order.
