Well that changes everything.
How?
For us to create something that traveled 4 billion miles and took a picture is mind-boggling. The photo itself is amazing.
I think this picture is most interesting in that it shows the power of perspective. When one is actually on Earth, all of the daily struggles are, in fact, massively important.
If one lived 4 billion miles away they may become inconsequential, but we don't, so this photo does nothing to take away from the import of my daily life.

To me, it still looks like Solinsky went off the track on his own. No interference.

I ****ing love this forum.
I met Carl Sagan. Just sayin...
Chris Solinsky was born on December 5, 1984.
The photo was taken on February 14, 1990.
Factoring in the speed of light at approximately 186,282 miles per second, and the fact that the photo was taken at 3,700,000,000 miles from Earth, or 0.001 light years, the light from the image took 5517 hours, 18 minutes, and 36 seconds to reach the Voyager 1 spacecraft.
Under these circumstances, Solinsky was less than 5 years old, and had not yet completed the event, thereby triggering the protest period. Given the facts, without further photographic evidence, I must stay the protest and claim for DQ, and impose a temporary ruling of DNF, subject to right to appeal.
