First time ever dealing with shin splints, both legs hurt. Some days they feel 100%, other days they feel like Satan himself is poking me with needles.
I've been doing the usual RICE and stretching, even bought myself a $40 pair of the ugly, stupid compression sleeves. All of the above remotely helps, but today couldn't even make it five minutes before having to pack it in.
As far as other treatments, strengthening? How so? I've used the search feature and came up with some wide ranging answers. It's been about 2-3 months since these buggers have been killing me and my workouts.
How long should I expect to have to deal with these? Typical recovery period?
Also, for cross-training do you fellas have any good bike workouts, or other cross-training recommendations?
