It's sad that you have to "come through" to televise something as allegedly big as the national track championships.

excellent - that's super news. It leaves little-carried Universal sports out of the picture and is...free?
This is the first positive surprise I have had out of USATF in a long time. First ever?
maybe they could do a little extra by letting Ryan do the broadcasting....I can wish can't I?
Man's race starts 9 PM Central time. USTAF says coverage lasts until 10:25 PM Eastern time. Does the screen go dark with 3 laps left in the race?
So, assuming Mary Cain makes the final of the 1500, they're not going to put it on TV live?
According to the schedule, it will be live on NBC Sports Network.

Someone at USATF doesn't know how long it takes to run 10,000 meters! :)
From their posted meet schedule:
9:00pm 10,000m men final
9:25pm end of day 2

Well, presumably (hoping to God) they couldn't possibly be stupid enough to cut off the feed with three laps left in the race, but it's AWESOME that they're actually DOING something, for once!
I hope Heidi doesn't strike again!!

Thanks for the heads up!

In the LA area many of us don't see NBCSN because Cox doesn't carry the channel. This is true of many other parts of the country. I hope that NBC is "saving" the womens 1500 final for the Sunday network broadcast. But I think Mary is ready for prime time.
This should be great news, but I am very scared.
Have you gone to USATF.tv yet? If so, you would notice that it is just Runnerspace....rebranded. They are hosting and broadcasting it.
They somehow screw up every broadcast they do. Maybe additional money is being poured in so it wont be a repeat of Pre or any of the other championship races that you cant see anything even if you somehow do get to connect to the stream.

This is nothing new. Yes, races have been cut off before the finish many times, especially in women's marathons.
I will believe this is "something" ONLY when and if the coverage is on the free internet with no issues.

When I type usatf.tv into my browser all I get is a page that says the domain name was just taken.
They do now have a landing page, and is in fact tied to Runner Space.
Get in early or you're SOL!
Lets see how it works before saying "Nice work". It would have made me feel better (for me at least having cable) if I was told it would be on ESPN3. In other words, on a reliable proven website.

Wondering who is making money on this? Cynical view right now
I much prefer runnerspace to nbc or espn, as long as the video plays property.
