i think you should probably just stick with the pegs if you are comfortable with them. no sense in wasting money on some shoes that are new and interesting when they could just be as bad as the nike frees.

Picking your shoes is like picking your nose- it's better if you do it yourself.

That being said, these shoes are for you, not someone else's favorite shoe that likely would not work for you.

Using the facts that you presented:

The Pegs would be a safe choice, they worked for you before, and would surely work again.

However, the fact that you state that you are a forefoot striker would suggest that you may not need a substantial heel such as the Pegs provide. Since the Saucony Mirage 3 is a good fit ("feels good on your feet") compared to others such as Free's, then that would be a good choice for trying something slightly different. The Mirage is hardly a traditional model; they have a relatively low heel drop, and do not have unnecessary motion control features. Midsole is reportedly cushiony, but not excessively soft (need confirmation from those who actually use the Mirage, I never have).

If for some reason the Mirage does not work out, go back to the Pegasus, and stay with them until hell freezes over.

As much info as you gave us, it isn't nearly enough. What were you running in most recently? What injuries recently?

Just find a good local running store and take a couple of worn pairs with you when you go. Unlike all the anonymous experts here, they will be able to really help you because they will be able to see what is going on.

I don't run in Pegasus or your other picks, but I didn't love the Mirages. Good on paper, didn't like running in them.

If you truly are a poor college runner. It would make more sense to buy two pairs of $75 liquidation shoes from 2012 than one pair of boosts for $150.

At your size and age you could run in almost anything if your form is OK and you don't have feet problems. There are loads of discount shoes to choose from at Running Warehouse and other places that would be fine.

I suggest you go through the shoe finder on Running Warehouse where you input key information about yourself and it suggests appropriate shoes based on that.

yea youd think so, but i do get injured very easy. in the last year i have had a knee injury, achilles tendonitis and some hip inflamation or something.

i dont usually by in to having people pick the "right" shoes for me. cause all the pronation control stuff is crap. (read magnesses blog on the shoe industy).

really in all honesty i just want something that feels good and wont hurtt my feet on a 12 mile run.

right now im running in tghe new balance 880s which seem very similar to the pegasus to me.

im not worried abot paying for an expensive shoe. as long as its only one.. cause after summer my xc coach buys me my next two pairs of shoes so its not like ill be buying my own shoes all the time. however the guy who said i can buy two 75 dollar shoes for the price of the boost made a good point.

i just really want to hear what people think who have tried some of these shoes
