Adam Palamar ran 3:41 low today in Toronto, he's a true freshman at Tulsa.
4 second PB, was 8th with 400 to go, way off the lead, and absolutely dusted Nate Brannen (3:34) and Matt Hughes (8:21 3k St) in the last 100.
Look out NCAA!

Actually, it will be Mac Fleet, if he comes back, runs faster, and repeats as Champ.
Does O'Hare have eligibility left? Could make for a great 1-2 punch.
Agree Fleet will be the man to beat though, with Mudd being a contender also
who the fck is mac fleet lol we all know o'hare would dust him in a race
Zach Perkins of the Air Force Academy (and Alameda High School!) ...esp. since Fleet is most likely going pro to preserve his marketability

I can guarantee you that Mac Fleet will NOT win another 1500 meter title in the NCAA. There are too many upcoming stars for him to back up his win. Sure he made a comeback this year, but what was his hs PR 4:01/2? Quite the improvement as a Jr...

Shut up A Duck
Look out, world, we have a sub-4 miler in the NCAA!
I agree with Alberto about Mac Fleet though. He will be very good next year how that he actually has a year of consistent training under him.
The next great NCAA male miler will probably be Brannon Kidder of Penn State.
Agreed on Kidder being an awesome miler, although I am thinking he'll stick with the 800 for the most part the next year or two.
Fleet is great, but Lalang would have crushed him at NCAAs. He was too busy winning the 5k/10k though.

Mac's the real deal. Missing the past 2 years of his training, he is lacking the same strength as the other guys. That is why you don't see a big PR. But winning NCAA's shows what he's made of. The times will come.
I'm a Mac fan. He has all the goods ... EXCEPT ...(and I'm not sure has any control over this) ... being able to stay healthy (sans injuries). I doubt next year's race will duplicate this years joggerfest. The field does look fairly even for 2014.
Letsrun, I hope you remember my prediction from a few weeks ago, because Adam just turned a few more heads tonight.
He just ran 3:38.9 beating Kevin Sullivan's Canadian Junior Record.
Look out NCAA!

Fleet 1500m PR: 3:38.35 today at the Harry Jerome classic.
Is he NOPing yet?
The next great NCAA mid distance stud is Ben Saarel. Get your head out of your ass.
Lawi is the best runner 1500- 10k in the NCAA and would have won the 1500 at outdoors if he had run it.
Meron Simon, watch out for this kid!
