400 hurdles gold medalist felix sanchez ran 46 in the 400 and was second.

Lukas Verzbicas is officially committed to the triathlon, so he can't "be back".

Any who, even though some people on this forum aren't fans of the triathlon, I still believe that swimming and cycling are great cross training methods.

Yeah this kid ain't officially back as he was never there in professional running or collegiate running.

Props to the kid though for being mature/smart enough to focus on what he loves/makes him more money or gets him in the Olympics. Also interval training year in and year out on the track can be such a burn out, just ask Alan Webb. Recently that guy was talking that repeats over 300 tire him out.

I surely would have liked to see this kid be the next great american distance runner but he apparently either thinks Africans dominate long distance running so he wont bother or that he just loves the triathlon more than just one sport.

Personally I would have liked to have seen more from him on the track. But that is me. Lukas does what he does.

Verzbicas will have to run sub 14 to be back. He's done great so far in his recovery. He should put all his energy into running. A guy who can run sub 4 and sub 8:30 in high school is a future sub 13 guy.
