According to Salazar's Quote he has failed miserably in the MENS marathon.
12 years ago he claimed that he thought he could do a better job of coaching the Marathon than a lousy 6th place finish in Boston.
His best MALE marathon coaching has been Ritz finishing 9th in Chicago this year.
Here is the irony. Alberto was annoyed that in 2001 Americans were excited about a 6th place finish when an American was not battling for the win. HUH?? Ritz finished over 3 minutes behind the winner in Chicago and NEVER was battling for the win and yet this somehow was a success??
WHAT? 12 years later and Alberto combined with Nike dollars has not gotten an American male any closer than what he was disgusted by.
PLEASE don't waste my time telling me what is going to happen or what he has accomplished in other events. It is irrelevant as to what the quote is all about.
