Inspired by another thread, list a city and your hotel recommendation and why.
For me it would be Boston, technically Cambridge. The Marriott or Residence Inn as they are 1 block apart. The latter had free breakfast and drinks--- yes I know you pay...
Why? There is a T stop out the front door of the Marriott. There is a Legal Seafood's next door. If you walk just a little ways you come to a great deli/bakery. There was also this bistro with a good breakfast and jazz on Sundays. Not really into jazz but it was cool for a trip.
Lastly from the running perspective, you are just a couple of blocks from the Charles River. Great path next to it past MIT and down to Harvard, reach the head and come back on the other side and pass Boston U. You can also cross Harvard Bridge. Record your running distance in Smoots.
